I wanted to trade back and acquire more picks in the top 100.

This is the smart move IMHO.

The OG's in this class are very good. I'm hoping for Conerly but give me Ratledge/ Higgins or Burden. Tough call.

No way we take Burden. Lots of off field issues there. He is going to fall. IMO. From what I’ve heard it’s bad.

I’m predicting we take a player at 34 and trade our 58 and 79 to move up into the late 30s. Caserio is going to target 4-5 guys in the early 2nd and get 2 of them. Will still have 2 3rds after that. I’d guess he trades back on one of those.

True but teams rarely end up using that much anymore anyway. They either decline or end up signing a new contract.

As I've previously posted, it's a bargaining chip/"threat" since a player has to accept it whether they like it or not..........unless they hold out, which has significant financial implications. Players don't want 5th year options.............they want to get from under their cheap salary.

Yup. The strength of this draft is 2nd - 4th round. Jackson was the last guy worth 25. What these guys seem to want is to pick a guy at 25 that isn’t worth 25 so they can say something was done. This is the absolute WORST possible way to run a winning org. I’m not worried about the short-sighted people. From now on…I’ll just ignore and move on to the next post. Whiners will whine.

I feel confident that we will select less than 5 players tomorrow and will also not accumulate extra day 3 picks... In other words, we will trade up in the aggregate tomorrow.

Maybe this draft will land a stud LT and multiple offensive weapons. I kind of doubt it.

Ok I’ve made my choice to select TreVeyon Henderson due to all his skill sets. He is a pure blocker and can excell in all the RB expectations. CJ needs a security buddy in the backfield and can do duty as a 3 down back. We get a Jonah Savaiinaea IOL with our next 2nd round pick.

Boy, I have no idea. But I'd maybe say Higgins. Any OLman still on the board would be too much of a reach at 25. So yeh, a WR.

jets and Saints come to mind with Pittsburgh maybe driving up bidding. We've said WRs can be had round three. I haven't looked for a post of mine long ago saying give me lots of threes.
