Double Header for ESPN MNF season opener ?

Forget the double header, how about starting the game at 8:00 or 8:30. MNF is killer on us on the east coast.

They tried that about 10 years ago for a season, but they lost the West Coast viewers. Keep in mind an 8:00 or 8:30 EST start is a 5:00 or 5:30 PST start. If you lived on the west coast and worked 9-6 (like me), then you would miss half the game by the time you got home. That is assuming you didn't run any errands before getting home.
 
If you live on the east coast and you want to get to bed at a decent hour, then your going to miss half the game. It goes both ways. I would say it would be better for the west coast people to miss half the game, after all it would be the second half they get to watch. Isn't that the most important half, anyway?

DVR's are cheap and readily available, even in High Def... so it would make more sense to have it earlier for the east coasters and have the option of DVR for the west coasters... or if you like sports move to Texas. :redtowel:
