If any of you were woundering about how Kubiak makes a difference, look at this might make you feel a little better............Now correct me if I am wrong but 1996 was Kubiaks 1st year as a coach? Now it was not just him BUT they stayed pretty consistant in the win section, 2005 they were 13-3..........3 of the 10 years he was there they were under 10 wins only 3 times-2 of those times they had 9 and 8 wins. Just trying to throw around some possative stuff around......:redtowel:

I believe Shanahan and Kubiak started with Denver in 1995, so that 8-8 is on them as well. They were with the 49ers for one year (1994) in which they went 13-3 and won the Super Bowl (Shanahan was OC, Kubiak was QB coach that year), then they came to Denver in 1995. It has still been an impressive run, and their offense has been the #1 rushing offense and #1 scoring offense over that 11 year period.

Then with Plummer-8-8, 9-7, 10-6, 10-6 and 13-3. And I believe that Carr is better then Plummer and we are going to see it this year.

I am telling you that this guy knows how to run a football team, a winning one at that, he knows what he needs to get it done, this is not going to be the same team next year, we are in good hands..........How many of you would take 8-8 this year?

I would take 8-8, but I would not be surprised to see 11-12 wins this season

I'd like it but I think that might to big a jump from 2 -14. I'd take any thing from 7 -9, 8-8, 9-7. But realistically it will be 8 -8.

Wow, you people are optimistic. Realistically, I'm feeling a five win season, maybe six.
 
I'm hoping for an 8-8 record in Kubiak's first season. And I don't think it's that much of a stretch, considering that we made it to 7-9 in our third year. Last season the wheels fell off for various reasons, so I'm believing that was the exception rather than the rule.

But realistically, 6-10 is probably still a pretty decent season considering all the changes we've experienced.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic but I think attitude is an incredibly powerful enabler. I can't see this team allowing anything less than 8-8. I think this coach will create so much will in his team that we won't recognize the team we see from the first preseason on.
Not to say anything negative about previous coaches, I just think this group is simply that much better.

yeah, I hope you're right. Attitude is a big factor.

My main concern is that we are implementing completely new offensive and defensive schemes, and finding success in the first year is a pretty tall order. I don't want Texans fans getting their hopes up too high, because we've got to keep the big picture in perspective. 8-8 does seem possible, though, and not in a pie-in-the-sky sort of way.
 
Well an 8-8 it pretty much what I can expect from a good coach who has just started coaching inagurally. Though I don't expect any Playoff runs out of him though, if I do then it's probably a BIG BIG BIG miracle.
