Does anyone have a bad gut feeling?

I love Mario but I love Bush. I'm just scared that Mario will end up like Courtney Brown there hasn't been much success with #1 defensive picks. Micheal Irvin was on sportscenter saying the Texans passed on Micheal Jordan(bush) and drafted Patrick Ewing(Mario). I just hope we don't come out looking like fools. I'll be praying nonstop that Mario is phenomenol and bush will be a bust. feel weird saying that about reggie.

the only one I have a bad feeling about is Bush, things have not gone according to plan lately :brickwall

you know that thought did play in my head or even worse andre wadsworth.

I think in the end though when you look at our DIVISION.

We play P. Manning, B. Leftwich, and S.McNair/Whoever they draft.

I think if you look at those 3 teams as well. Their defenses aren't great.

If we develop one I think we can make a real push in our division in 2 years.

I hope the williams becomes the next bruce smith, but i really have a bad feeling that he will be the sam bowie to bush's michael jordan and vy's hakeem olajuwon.

Michael Irvin also said that the cowboys teams didn't really need a defense at all because the offense did all the work. So take anything he says with a grain of salt.

That's my biggest beef with this pick. You could have set up the offense and nobody could fault you for taking Reggie Bush. Instead you take a huge risk and take Mario Williams, who now will be compared to RB for the rest of his career. I mean, who would be upset if we picked Bush? Nobody. Everyone would understand. Instead the Texans have set themselves up for a Sam Bowie situation, and everyone for the rest of time can call it into question if Bush is half as good as they say he'll be.

Plus, it does NOTHING for putting the Texans on the map. ESPN in a recap just said that the Saints won the Reggie Bush Sweepstakes and didn't even mention the Texans or Mario Williams.

It's a risk when a risk wasn't needed, IMO. And I didn't even bring up Vince Young.

My gut is extremly happy. The biggest fauls for the texans the first 4 years in the league has been O and D line. And Kubes and Cass fixed both via FA and the draft. Williams and Weaver help the D-line while Kalu adds backup. Flanagen Winston and Spencer sure up the line. Ryans and Cowart adds impact players to our LB core. Safety can be sured up with either Simpson (who id rather have) or Bing, and depth hopefully will be added with the 6th and 2 7ths. And not gettin bush was made easier when we picked up a #1 reciever with for our 5th round pick in Moulds.

GO TEXANS!!!!
