Division standings say that.....

I knew this season was lost after Indy. It's just too bad the Texans don't have a head coach, because even as bad as they play, they still have a shot at the division.

That being said, I'm rooting for 4-12, and get a high draft pick for the next coaching staff, and hope Bob blindly hits the coaching lottery. Even if there is a lockout and a new staff only gets 2 weeks to implement their system, it's bound to be better than the crap we have to watch week after week now.

I'm so glad you are rooting for out team.

:chickendance:

Say what you want about their record, but it is what it is, for now. Jack DelRio is a great coach who plays old-school, big-lineman, puch-you-in-the-mouth football. Gary Kubiak believes in the ballerina type of football, where lineman are flexible and can sashay around the field like little bitches.

I'm going to assume you don't buy into Kubiak's system..

unless Foster is running for 100+ yards or leading the league in Touch Downs..

of course.

Don't give me that bullshit. You know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the fact that our LINEMAN are not big, physical players. I am not talking about Andre, Arian or any of our recievers or runners.

Dude, you can't be serious. The Jags are a team that has no where near the talent we have, yet they manage to grind out wins.

As I said earlier in this thread, it's the same thing every year with this team: They sneak up on everyone and get wins when no one is looking.

Jags fans have a right to brag.

Now that there is funny!

.........JAX is the leader. WOW.

That's how wide open our division is this year. INDY has fallen off a bit, Possum Squallor is having issues as most inbreds would, Texans consistentlty open up like a "pro" in vegas so therefore JAX, effing JAX....you know.....the team with all the tarp fans in the stands....yeah....that team that may not even be there in a year or 2......yyyyeeeeaaahhhhhh

They lead the division.

Just simmer on that for a bit. Had the Texans won at least 2 of the last 3 games in which they could have won despite the diahretic secondary we would still be the division leaders.

Time to go stand in the middle of the street blindfolded......excuse me....

:gun:

Its probably been said already, but Kubiak was right about one thing. "It's time for another team besides the Colts to win the AFC South." He just left out that it would be the Jags.......

Colts are injured, the Titans are hurting, and the Jags are leading the standings. What better time than now to win the division, but no thats not in the cards.

So, last year we blew it because we had an easy schedule and messed that one up. This year we blow it when the rest of our division is imploding. I wonder what will present itself in 2011?

i respect da jags

Hey look at the cards

all u need to do is punch your ticket and anything could happen

Perhaps empty stadiums?:kitten:

I guess it sucks to be a Texan fan...keep up with the tarp jokes, if that makes you feel happy. By the way, no blackouts this season. I like the no respect for the Jags..keep it up..we'll be the true dark horse...just imagine if they do win the division?

Ya but you are still in the bottom of the league in attendance and a lot of your tickets are bought by the Jags organization so it is not blacked out.

Anyways, Colts are still going to win the division. I actually wish the Jags would win to change things up but I just can't see it happening.

Let me correct you on your statement...The Jags are not at the bottom of the league of attendance, research it! Wayne Weaver does not buy out the tickets any more, see 2009. See what the owners of the Bucs are doing this year, they are not buying the tickets = blackouts(the whole season!) The Bucs are 7-3! The New EverBank stadium deal advises that if the Jags blackout, then the Jags are fined $10K, payment to EverBank. Not one game this season has been bought out from the Jags organization to avoid a blackout. Where were the most season tickets sold this year in the NFL? That's right Jax!

I heard they were buy one get two free, and each game you actual turn up to the game you get to call an offensive play.

I understand what Mike is saying when it comes to there will always be something. We may get to the playoffs but then it'll be "when will we win one of these". Then after we win a wild card game it will be "when will we get to the conference championship game". Etc.

The Jaguars really have nothing to be overly excited about. They have been pretty average for many years under JDR, but they still have a reason to be excited. They've stumbled into a 6-4 record, and if they start to play a little better they may have a shot to make a small run. Maybe not a superbowl run, but a run nonetheless. They have been playing better recently. David Garrard is what is holding that team back right now. He had 4 turnovers in that game against Cleveland.

The thing that the Jags have that we have never had (or not since the start) is a pretty decent defense. They sacked McCoy 6 times and forced him out of the pocket ALOT. Have the Texans ever had 6 sacks in a game?

Why even root for a team with that mentality? You can never have a perfect team. It took the Texans what 8 years to get to. 500? Wouldn't a home playoff game help the mental status of the Texan fan? The 6 turnovers this week, MJD fumble, MJD throw INT, Garrard fumbled, Garrard hit Mike Thomas in the hands, bobbled off, INT, Garrard hit Marcades Lewis in the hands, bobbled off, INT. Garrad throw INT. Garrard only had 2 bad mistakes fumble and a stupid pass in the middle of the field. Yes, JDR has been average, but he has put the team in contention. Almost every year there is still talk in December for post season. The Jags choked last year, was 7-5 and lost the last 4 games. I witnessed the 1996 Jags go from 4-7 to playoffs, then beating Bills at home, then Denver at home, losing to Patriots in AFC Championship. Anything can happen? You have to have faith and enjoy the games. This game vs. Browns, was the best Jags defense played in the last 3 years! The Jags only got 14 sacks last year! shoot we 6 vs. Browns, that's almost half! If the Jags get hot, then there is a chance. This Sunday will be a true test vs. Giants.

Funny, I must have gotten burned on my season tickets? LOL Sorry, but the fans have paid this season...no blackouts yet. Go research Blackouts 2010 NFL..see what teams are having issues....team you don't see Jags

Same here....I respect the Texans. You just have be in the mix in Nov/Dec...and anything can happen. You just got to start "clickin'" an enjoy watching the games.

I would love to have what the Jags have had. They have been to the playoffs 6 out of the 16 years they have been in existence. I will take that any day of the week.

I've been a football fan long enough that no, I don't want to be one and done. When this team finally gets off the ground I want it to be for an 8 or 9 year stretch. Given the choice between being the Colts or the Jags over the last decade, I'll take the Colts.

Mike

I'm with Mike on this one. This team should have been a play-off contender 4 years after Kubiak took over. I was willing to give it one more year, if it meant a decade of dominance.

We'll see where we're at in 6 weeks.

Sounds like a Texans marketing meeting. We are last in the standings, but we sell out every game. That makes the Texans better than the division leading Jags.

Arian wouldn't be Arian if our petite OL wasn't manhandling some meat.

It starts in the trenches.

Lol. Co-sign.

The phrase I'm tired of hearing is "incremental improvement". That, to me, is code for "we are losers."

I would consider 25/32 near the bottom.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance

It's just funny that they "sellout" yet many tickets are still available.
Even on the Jags board when they were talking about the Browns game many posters said that the team would buy the rest if it was not many.
I can't be certain of this because I am not really updated on Jax news but it would make sense.

You know there is a diffence between a black out and a sell out? Sunday attendance was 62,254 according to vic ketchman. A sell out would be around 66K. We sold enough tickets for no black out.

PS the fine for a blackout for the Jag/Wanye Weaver is $100K not $10K, mistyped

I don't think it as bad as you are posting, Jax is the 2nd smallest market in the NFL and has been there for 15 years. It's going to take time to bulid a national fan base. That's why Jax has been the media's poster boy. I think the ratio for Jax is 1 out 16 living in Jax has to buy a ticket. Jax is a small market with a big stadium...(enter tarp joke here!) that's why the tarps are there. The questions is how many of these teams ranked 20 and below have had blackouts this season? Look at the Chargers...ranked 24th! They have had a couple of blackouts this season. Jags have a long road ahead, all the fans need to do is continue to buy tickets and support the team. I've learned to just enjoy the game.

Exactly and have been to the AFC Championship 2 times! I would not call that one a done.

After all this time the Texans still play like an expansion team. That pretty much sucks. There are times I wonder why I even keep up with this ****. When the Oilers first left town I did without the NFL on Sundays just fine. Didn't miss the NFL a single bit, I had my Sundays back to do other stuff. Then the Texans came along and have been taking up my ****ing Sundays with the three Stooges act ever since. I don't know why I care, but I do.

We are two games out of the division lead. Indy's schedule is getting tougher and they don't look like the Indy of old. They play San Diego this week. I don't believe Jville, they are a miracle play away from being right there with Tenn. They play NYG. If those two teams lose and we beat Tennessee, we then become only 1 game out. Sux that we couldn't be making our own destiny but it is what it is and I think these other teams are faltering and based on the way we went to New York and pushed around a very good Jets team to make them have to come from behind, we can still turn this around.
