Dismissed Players of Last Year

I was thinking today about some of the players that we dismissed from last year, and the four that really stuck in my head were:

Jamie Sharper
Aaron Glenn
Marlon McCree
Kenny Wright

And just for the heck of it, I'll throw Jay Foreman in there even though he doesn't really count (was signed Tuesday).

So lets go:
Jamie Sharper, Seattle Seahawks
Before his arrival: 9-7 in 2004
This year: 13-3, #1 seed NFC

Aaron Glenn, Dallas Cowboys
Before his arrival: 6-10
This year: 9-7, barely missing playoffs

Marlon McCree, Carolina Panthers
Before his arrival: 7-9
This year: 11-5, Wild Card NFC

Kenny Wright, Jacksonville Jaguars
Before his arrival: 9-7
This year: 12-4, Wild Card AFC

Granted, Jamie Sharper has been hurt for the majority of the season, McCree/Wright/and Glenn have made pretty sound impacts for their respective teams.
Wright who we used in nickel packages only, is the starter for the Jags and helped them get to the #7 pass defense in the NFL. Wright has two interceptions and 53 tackles.
McCree was named the starter, and has been playing strong saftey very well with 78 tackles and 3 interceptions.
Glenn as a starter in little D has 4 interceptions and 9 passes defensed.

So the morale of this story is, most of them will not be sitting at home next weekend. They've cast off to success. Makes you kind of wonder what some of our "good players" would do in different uniforms.

Then add Steve Foley of the Chargers, Pro Bowl OLB in a 3-4 who did not fit our system.. i guess he screwed up Fangio's plans by havinbg the ability to get to the QB. I think that Peek could be a monster in a differant uniform playing a 3-4...

Pro-Bowlers.

Imagine this (not that it will ever happen--Thank God):

Peyton Manning to Andre Johnson.
