Defensive Stats

Just want to bring up a point that I haven't seen, yet.

After the first few games, we had easily the worst defense in the league. We were giving up almost 500 yards a game. Even though that was against some powerful offenses, our defense looked plain bad even against the Redskins.

Now, almost halfway through the season, we're no longer in the cellar in defensive stats. We're only giving up 350 yards/game now. We're still in the lower third but we're improving. Part of that is because our opponents aren't as strong but damn, it makes me feel better.

Now if we could just win.

The defense has made strides but they are still sub par. The lack of secondary talents hurts us a lot IMO. We desperately need to force more turnovers and while our line is getting pressure they are not getting to the QB in time. I don't know if this is a product of a lack of coverage or our line's talent but these need to change.
