I disagree. If you go to the superbowl that early in your career, maybe you get the idea that what you're doing is good enough. If you struggle, obviously you've got to get better.

While I also disagree with the premise, I think that it has some merits, and it certainly makes sense.
i'm more saying "that makes no sense" to what sounds like him bragging about being right about both Manning and Roethlisberger, when Roethlisberger has only gotten better since his Super Bowl win.

It's sad that Carr did not develop into a NFL QB and I blame the Texans for that. Carr had the talent but had terrible coaching. I was glad to see Eli win the superbowl. Eli has a good head on his shoulders and other QB's should take a page out of his book that hard work will pay off.

Carr didn't have terrible coaching.

And even if he did, he could have dedicated a little more of his time to becoming a better QB.

lmfao. you keep telling yourself that over and over....it just might come true. carr was and always will be total freaking garbage. the ONLY plus he had as a football player is that he could take an asswhoopin'. That is it. Here are his laundry list of shortcomings:

poor footwork
poor release
long windup
not smart; pretty much a mimbo (male bimbo)
reads coverage poorly
struggles making adjustments
can't throw over middle over field due to trajectory of release
lack of dedication in the film room
lack of dedication in the offseason
football was not important to him; just a job
no competitive fire
no leadership skills
poor teammate; felt he was above 'hanging with the guys'
lack of accountability
poor pocket presence
poor game management skills
football was not a priority in his life...more important to kiss his wife's arse than earn his paycheck
backstabber (throwing Texans and especially OL under the bus when he got to carolina)
failure as a franchise leader
total freaking loser and a total freaking scrub no-talent hack

CARR SUCKS THE BIG ONE

I don't think I missed anything but if I did, please let me know.

ok...i just felt sorry for the guy..... you made your point....i didn't say he was going to be the next Eli Manning....LOL!!!!....GO GIANTS!!

:specnatz:

He's a Democrat as well....

This is a case where someone throws stuff up against a wall and none of it sticks.

His 'coaching' was the same as what Eli and Romo had the past two seasons in case you didn't know.

I'll save the old and tired criticisms and just say that six years later it's safe to say that DC and Harrington were both highly overrated by most in what turned out to be a terrible draft year for QBs.

This is a funny thread considering how recent some of the Eli criticisms were being made.

I said Eli would be better than Roethlisberger. The thing about Roethlisberger is that he was too good too early in his career, which led to his oversized head.

I agree that Eli will probably turn out to be the better QB in the long run. Ben seems to piss off some of his teamates and is turning out to be a little "prima donna" biatch.

The knock on Ben is he seems to always have a bobo . He may play but he's got a bobo and needs a bandaid .

the knock on Roethlisberger is that he's one of the best QB's in the league on third downs and in the clutch.
