Harrington also only has 3 games over 200 yards this year
Only 5 TD's since week 6
And 5 Ints since week 6
Week 6 is important, because since then Harrington has had the running game or offensive line support.
The past 5 games he has had the best Running game in the NFL.
He is seeing 8 in the box on most of his plays in the 3rd and 4th quarter, he has had his worst preformances in the 3rd and 4th. Streets, Hakim, and Williams have been healthy recently, and even vs bad defense over the past 4 games like GB, INDY, ARZ, MIN. Harrington has only gone over a 80 QB rate 1 time, and has been out ran on the ground for as many yards through the air.
What you can't see on the stat sheet is a majority of Harringtons passes for the last serveral weeks have been wild. His offensive line has held up fantastically since about week 6. He is rushing throws for no reason, he is not reading a defense. He is playing with happy feet when there is no pressure, and constantly folding durring key moments or key drives. He is missing alot of open guys.
Joey harrington is just game of a few interceptions away from his 2004 QB rate taking a nose dive into the 60's
He plays Minnesota next who have consistantly had his number.
Expect 2-3 picks in this next game. then Joey will look just as bad this year as he had last year. But this time he can't just blame the WR's and the Running game.
he has had 3 games with no touchdowns, and no games with multiple touch downs.
The lions offense has been terrible in the redzone getting TD's
The only reason Harrington looks like he has improved over last year is because of a hot 4 games to start the season. But even in those games the Lions had amazing field position off turnovers.
Since then he has done everything he can not to make alot of mistakes, while doing this he has taken no part in attemtping to make a play. Joey has never looked as bad in 2002, or 2003, as he has looked in most of 2004.
And the sad thing about it is 2004 he has the most help he has ever had.
