David Baas with our second

Bayern

Waterboy
This guy IMO makes a lot of sense for the Texans and it really seems everyone (people on this board included) is high on this kid at guarding the left side. Especially considering how bad Pitts and Mckinney did, how REALISTIC is it for Houston to say trade up a few picks and grab Baas either late first or early second? Could we package our "Henson" third and our second to move up and grab him at a safe spot (late first early second)?

I could see mobvin up in the second, and maybe as far as the bottom of the 1st to get Bass. We could easily give up that 3rd from Dallas and maybe a4th to get into the bottom 1st.

But ho do you guys feel about Elto Brown from VA, he is almost as good at guard as Bass, could he last till our 2nd pick.

Brown may have the most natural talent for the OG position in the draft. His dedication and character are the question marks. This would be a gut call on the part of the coaches and management. Yes he might last to our 47 pick.

A low 3rd and a mid 4th will get into the 1st round????? That could work, what did they trade to get Babin last year ???

the cost of trading up should be cheaper this year than it was last year. though I know I would be reluctant to give up my first rounder for a 3rd and 4th.. unless I had a high second rounder to fall back on.

the Eagles have the 31st and 35th pick. So if you want to move back into the first.. trading a 3rd and 4th to the eagles may be a possibility.

We traded our 2nd a 3rd and a 5th to move up to th bottom of the 1st.

the 5th doesnt necessarily count because we got their 5th in return. from a points point of view.. we gave up so little with that tradeoff that it is hardly even worth mentioning. the equivelant to a 20th round pick or something :P
