DAL vs. TEN

Since its airing on Fox in about 20 min. Might be a good time to take a look at what we have coming up being we play both of em.....Just a thought.

Rare chance to see two teams we play later this year, one a divisional,. Without having to miss our boys play. Hence my posting it in this section.

I really wanted to watch the Jags & Redskins. I wanted to watch them against a common opponent.

Probably because Dumo is locked onto Witten when Bryant is wide open & only one guy to beat for a TD... TO complained about that & he was labeled a diva.

Tennessee ' s defense don't look too bad. They came to play. The offense not so much.

There is absolutely no reason for the referees not to rule that an interception. Maybe they don't get the concept: All turnovers are reviewed. If they let that play out that could be a pick 6.

If they blew the play dead, they have to give Dallas possession but not the six

On this particular play, the Cowboys definitely got screwed out of a TD.

But I disagree that there is absolutely no reason not to call it an int. Whichever way the original call is made inherently gets the advantage during the review process since you need clear irrefutable evidence to overturn.

For the instances when the refs are in doubt, they need to pick a consistent way to call it, i.e. always for the team with the ball, or always letting the play go and play out. If it stays consistent, it will even out in the long term for the teams even if the original call is wrong.

Exactly, which is why the referees should never blow that play dead since all turnovers are automatically reviewed.

Agreed. But it's just got to be kind of against their instincts to not blow the whistle in the heat of a play (no knock on officials....not here anyway).

Still, it shouldn't be that hard to address this in the form of training them to lay off the balloon juice until the play has come to a sure conclusion.

The result for Dallas was bOOoolshit. Glad they're winning, though.

True, but in that case the play would 'stand' which indicates there is no evidence either way. Letting it play out at least you're not taking a TD away from one of the teams.

I'm in favor of "letting it play out", but if it were an incomplete pass and they let it go not having enough to overturn, TEN would have gotten screwed. It just goes both ways.
