Cut Kris Brown.........

There is no guarantee that any Kicker is going to make every kick. Sure we wish it were so, and that every qb pass was a completion, or every running back make 10 yards on every carry, or tight ends and wide receivers should never drop a pass that touches them in any manner. IMO, Kris Brown is one of the best kickers in football, and true it was a heartbreaker that he missed at a crucial time today, I felt just as sad when Cundiff missed one of the same distance on Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, crap happens. On the otherhand, if the kicker CONSISTENTLY miss field goals, e.g., Cortez, then yes, it's time for a firing.

If you want Kris cut then basically you are rooting against them since he is the only one who can really score on this team. I have an idea lets cut texanfan2002114 just because he has one bad post. j/j

Any player who blows a chance to win a game just to get a draft pick is NOT PROFESSIONAL, should NEVER go to the PRO bowl, and should not be playing football!! JMO!!!

I haven't missed a game this year or for a matter of fact I haven't missed a home game in 4 years. I have been to atleast 1 away game a year for the last 4 years. I am the last bandwagoner on this board. Don't try to read between my words!!

Thats just stupid to say. Kickers lead most teams in scoring!! Matter of fact,out of the Top 30 scorers this year, 24 of them are kickers. Try to think about what your going to say before you say it.

I've been reading how Brown may have been injured on that kick. Supposedly he injured it during the fake where he sprinted for the first. Watching David Akers try to kick off with an injured leg, I'm inclined to believe that Brown may have likewise been adversly affected.

I read through most of the thread before posting so it not just a reply to one person.

Firstly if we were playing to lose surely their would have been a lateral and Mathis woudldn't have got to the 26 yard line.

Secondly KB has made clutch kicks. He did against the Ravens with 64 seconds left. That should have won the game for us.

Imagine having to explain yourself to the huge mamoths on the sidelines that you intentionally missed. After they fought and scratched for 60mins. He would be destroyed.

There is no conspiracy here, and there is no explanation.
 
didn't see it either. We dont get that many Texans games in England, though I was listening. The guys on the radio said it wasn't a great kick
 
In an effort to get the #1 pick, McNair paid Kris Brown a bonus to go out and intentionally injure himself, give the Texans a better chance of losing out. :)

I would be more suspect of us blowing a 10 point lead to the Rams with 34seconds left in the game, than KB missing that FG!

This thread, from the main board, made ESPN News. WHAT? Sheesh. I'd rather see the message board make national news for something that's not *****ic.

He was the 18th best kicker, ehhh. He was project to be [Yahoo fantasy] 150th but landed 137th in the league. He would have been much higher, but he had a LOT fewer PATs than other kickers [go figure] limiting his total.

All said, he scored 25/32 fg's and 22 PAT's, for a total of 97 points.


The team has scored 213 points total.

Kris has scored [including PATs] aout 46% of our points this year.

So yeah, let's fire him. Sure, good idea.
