Well, it would if anybody in the known universe was actually using ESPN polls to plan their draft. To me the worst thing about a truly epic draft bust is that you never see them coming. Nobody sees them coming just like nobody sees the truly epic steals in the draft before/when they're taken.

Polls are fun but that's about it.

Completely agree, but they also show what the rest of us are thinking. Iwasn't at all surprised that the 3 QBs topped the list.

Yep. Years after the fact the Ryan Leaf "ripples" can still be seen in the publics collective opinion. First round QB's are the busts that get the most attention and they're the most anticipated.

i've actually heard some interesting comparisons to ryan leaf in relation to vince young from several people. it's mostly worry about how he's dealing with his business. he had a poor skull session with a few teams as well apparently. i dunno, i can't see him going higher than #9 to detroit (only because millen is so unpredictable on draft day).

i haven't compared him to leaf. there are just concern that once he's outside of the UT mack brown bubble and into the real world, he won't be able to handle it.
