could McNabb possibly be out of Philly?

just like what happened to duante in minnesota, he got her and brad johnson took over as the starter...do you think jeff garcia has mcnabb booted out of philly? would you take mcnabb if the oppurtunity arose? why?
 
It depends how on how stupid Reed & the Eagles are. Too many times, a QB will have a few good months, and then is annointed the Starter, and awarded a fat contract. Then season two starts, he's the man, and he doesn't perform as well as he did previously. I think a big reason is because the biggest motivator(money) is no longer there.

I don't know Jeff Garcia, so I don't know what gets him going. But if he was/is auditioning for a new job, then I'd think twice before giving him a lot of money, or guarantee a starting job.

Look at how Gruden handled Simms. That's the way to do it IMHO. I feel sorry the kid got his spleen knocked out of him, but he played very well in '05, but couldn't get started in '06, when he knew it was time to put up....
 
Philly would be a excellent fit for Troy Smith. not sure of McNabbs status or if they resign free agent to be Garcia. some team will draft Troy late 1st the two top teams right now should be the Jets & Eagles.
 
The only concern for McNabb is his health. Otherwise, I think they are insane to get rid of him.

Agreed. Garcia did a great job of stepping up & giving the Eagles the spark they needed to get things going. McNabb should still be behind center for the Eagles next season.
 
Zero chance of him leaving, the resurgance of Garcia will propel him to a starting gig elsewhere, but not in Philly. He has stated he is happy being the #2 man there, but if they can win it all or at least go to the S.B. I will guess he would have a change of heart and move on, as the money will be there for him to leave. Either way, the Eagles are in good shape going into next season at the QB position.

You sir are smoking some serious stuff if you think that's going to happen.
& ......................................................... HECK YEAH I'D TAKE HIM IF THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTED ITSELF,:brickwall I mean did you see our QB play the last half of the season?
 
McNab gone......I highly doubt it, but that doesn't mean they don't pick up a guy to groom as his replacement in a couple of years. Probably keep Garcia around if they can afford to as the insurance policy while the new guy grows.
 
If McNabb became available we'd be foolish to not make a run at him, but he won't be going anywhere. He has a huge contract that would be difficult and costly to move, and his only problem the last couple years has been his durability, but over the last three seasons he's thrown 65 TDs vs. 23 INTs in 34 games, his play hasn't slumped off like Daunte Culpepper's did, whereas Culpepper threw 6 TDs and 12 INTs in his last year in Minnesota in Randy Moss' absence. I don't see McNabb being in the hot seat at all like Culpepper was.
