Coogs vs UTEP

Just got back home from the game. A major wreck on I-10 east bound added about 2 hours to my drive back to Beaumont.

Good Lord, as bad as the Coogs played in the 1st half I could not believe we won that one. I think there may have been a let down after the Tulsa game.

Co Coogs!! Beat Rice!!

This Saturday; the next two weeks are going to be pretty intense, given that UH-Rice is a championship game in itself!

It turned out to be a great game.

Personally after the two point attempt debacle, I thought it was over. You could feel the energey being sucked out of Robertson...

Folks, Carrier is faster in person that you can imagine on TV. He sometimes makes Anthony Alridge look like he's running in quicksand... Ok, maybe not that much, but dude is fast.

Coogs do need a power back. Someone like Jackie Battle.

Kohn's pretty damn fast too.

Really fast.... Speed killz.

But again, that 2 point conversion catastrophe about made me sick. :gun:

More people should get out to UH games. Tailgating is great (or at least in the Yellow Lot). The Tuba players are nutz... And they play some really exciting football.

Next up: The Bayou Bucket to see who represents the West in the C-USA Championship. If the Coogs win the C-USA championship will once again be at Robertson.

I've tailgated with frats at UH games and Dynamo fans for a Dynamo game. You'll never guess who had kegs.

When I do go to games at Robertson (usually a couple/few times a year), it's in the Yellow with some Alumni.

This week were also graced by the presence of TxDavid and his better half "Jen with a Pen".

Dynamo fans. Their beer was a lot better

AIG ponied up most of the money, but Ed Emmett and his people don't want to put in the last $10 million, even though the stadium would create revenue at least threefold each year for the city. It seems the Astros feel threatened by another stadium downtown since the Dynamo's season overlaps the Astros'

Had a great time. The Coogs had me a bit worried after that two-point conversion catastrophe. I just kept reminding myself that we score all our points in the second half. The Coogs have yet to lose a game when I'm at the Rob, so thanks for keeping the streak alive boys!

Tailgating was a lot of fun. Thanks to Texan Bill for the hospitality and a cold place to store my beer. We ended up staying out in the lot watching the OU/Tech game for a while. Some of the players stopped by as well. Not sure if I'm gonna make the Rice game, but I'm definitely in for the C-USA championship game - especially if it's at the Coooooog's Hooooouse.....

BTW, Thank Tom and the other Bill.... They were the ones that talked me into getting off my lazy a$$ Friday night and coming out Saturday.

Another thanks goes out to DiapHer and Spec, for helping to get TxDavid in touch so that he and Jen could make it by.

Oh yeah, Matt Albers hung out for a while too.
