Thanks for the memories, Warren. You were one of the best. I wish you were around for the Texans.

Some people may cringe to hear it, but John McClain was campaigning heavily for Moon this week. I think he deserves some thanks.

Always loved the guy. I thought he was a longshot for HoF. Congrats!!!
Don't know why anyone would think he was a longshot. The man threw for over 70,000 yards in his pro career.

Word. I sent McClain an e-mail on Friday to thank him for the article and for the presentation he had prepared for the voters.

I also heard McClain say on the radio that he had been wandering the halls until 2 am Thursday night, taking any opportunity he could to talk to Hall of Fame voters about Moon. I really appreciate that kind of effort.

Congrats to Warren Moon! It's a great honor, and a well-deserved one.

Just to clarify... I meant I thought he was a longshot THIS time around. I thought it would be a longer and more painful process. We all knew how great he was... I just wasn't giving the voters the same credit.

John Mclain even thought Moon was a longshot to make it the first time. On friday's afternon show Mclain said he told Moon he didn't expect him to make it on the first ballot.

So thank you John Mclain for making the persuasive arguments in favor of electing Moon to the hall of fame.

Moon you are the man. Always have been, always will be.:)

So just thinking, I know the franchise and all its history went to Tenn, but shouldnt the Texans do somthing for Moon? Maybe next season a halftime serimony or somthing along those lines? I know what you are thinking, this is the Texans not the Oilers, however, Moon is just as much part of Houston Texas football as the Texans are now.

Big props to Moon....I'm happy to see another of my Oilers in the HOF. Dr Doom should be in there but he will never get the votes.

I have to admit I had to look and see who Dr. Doom was, but you are right...Brazile does deserve consideration.

While looking it up I also learned that Bum Phillips basically invented the "3-4". Didn't know that either. I guess I've doubled my "learn something new everyday" quota.

Anyway...Congrats to Moon....VERY deserving.

Better Moon than Irvin, I think the only reason Moon got in is because Irvin had that crack pipe in his whip........

We can all forget about the '92 playoff game vs. the Bills!
