This arguement wouldn't be going on if it were an NFC QB doing this. There wouldn't be any complaints if it were someone who didn't play and embarrass the Texans. Instead of complaining about the greatest QB in the game right now. Why don't you complain about the defense allowing him to carve them up and take what he wants...you complain about the coaching and QB enough already...

I'm not a Texans Fan and I also feel angry about Mannings way of handling things. Would be absolutely the same if it was a NFC QB. Of course you can argue about the Texans defense, Lions Defense and son on. But that has nothing to do with the decision making of Manning and Dungy. You can play without your starters at a point, if you have a big lead in the 4q, and you still can go for 1st downs and so on. Dungy and Manning went after more Td's

So Manning intended to throw his both Ints late against Houston to prevent further scores? THEN i'm really impressed.

Look at this in regard of another game of offending their opponent:

I would like to offer a couple of other points here.

At the time of the first Colts/Texans game...Texans were being considered a playoff threat. Points scored being a tiebreaker come playoff time, perhaps it was a backwards display of respect, by scoring in case they needed those points later on.

On why he was still throwing long...#1, with the D line loaded ready to stop the run...why would you take a chance on Edge getting hurt by running into a wall? #2, when your starting D has quit, (and they were playing as a defeated unit at that point), you deserve to get it thrown downfield on you. You are professional athletes, and even when getting blown out, you still have to bring it EVERY play. You don't lollygag to your position on defense!!!

Also...Manning threw 2 INT's in the 4th quarter. Even he knows not to make the football gods mad by leaving the game on an INT. He had to get back out there and make good passes. Call it superstition, but there aren't many pro athletes out there who aren't...

Let's also not forget that if any team knows that there is almost no lead insurmountable...it's the Colts. Well, the Colts and the Buccaneers. Anyone remember the Monday night game last year? I sure do. And the Texans are more than capable of putting up phenomenal #'s when they buckle down and play.

and had they not made those 2 int's, Manning and co. probably would have bowed out gracefully...No QB wants to leave the game (yes, even a blowout game) on an INT.

What i have to agree on is that the Colts have changed their proceedings after that game. They took Manning out in the 4th in the following week after the critsicm about the Texans game. Against the Bears Manning was playing three drives no huddle with throwing downfield passes to increase the lead from 24 to 38 till the end of the 3rd, then he went out.

The Colt offense played very aggressive the last weeks and took the scoring to the limits WITHOUT crossing the line like against the Texans.

im not sure you should want to get the treatment that the pathetic lions and bears got. peyton came out in the 4th because they were never gonna do anything. and dont tell me he shouldnt be playing in the 3rd, because this is a pro game, you should at least get to go all out for 3 quarters. maybe you guys didnt notice how explosive carr 2 johnson was looking in the first half of the season (or you ignored it because it makes your "we couldnt come back" statement valid.)

I'm trying to give a LOT of credit to the Texans here. They may not show it week in and week out, but they can play. The biggest hurdle for them is going to be getting over the mental hurdle of being an expansion team. My thoughts are that a coaching change may be in the near future.
