Collinsworth can go suck a big fat stick

We start many games throwing so why reference the only game we lost. Is the green bay game the only Texans game he has seen this year?

Good point! Maybe he doesn't watch complete game film and just watches cut ups of games. The only game we've started with a run this year was Buffalo.

He was fine to me until the play Cutler got popped by Dobbins on. He was clearly past the line of scrimmage and he was a bit excessive about how that should be legal and about the dirty hit.

At the beginning of the game, the whole Tillman one two punch thing was getting annoying. I proposed a drinking game to my husband for everytime we heard it, but he whimped out 'cause he had to go to work in the morning.

I think Collinsworth is just annoying regardless of who's playing. Too much of a know it all every Sunday Night.

And they were BOTH defiant about Foster's goal line catch. I mean, drama drama drama...as if there was just no way that ball didn't touch the ground. Only after like the zillionth replay did he finally say "Yeahhhhh...that's a catch." LOL.

One thing he said that really threw me for a loop, though, is that he 100% nailed Brandon Marshall's push-off on JJo by saying "Joseph says 'Oh yeah, you wanna push me? Alright, I can play that game too!'" Most announcers (i.e. Dierdorf) would have said the CB committed blatant P.I. on that play. Collinsworth called it correctly. Which throws me for a loop.

I didn't like Miss Collinsworth when she was playing for the Bengals, when she was a commentator for Fox Sports and I still don't like him/her now.Vugg it.

Say what you will about Collinsworth, try re-watching the Ravens game with Gumbledorf having an on-air orgasm talking about Terrell Suggs. :gun:

He begged for the Bears to throw the challenge flag for 5 min before it was challenged. Saying he was not beyond the line of scrimmage, it was disgusting how he did it.

Seems like it, doesn't it?

This is the problem with most guys that cover the league for a national media outlet. They're naturally more exposed to the more popular teams, so when it comes to teams like the Texans, they either keep referring to cliches about the team or go off of what they've personally seen.

In this case, it was the Green Bay game. Probably the ONLY Texans game he's seen more than a significant portion of in his entire seven or so years doing color commentary for NBC Sunday Night Football.

That and the fact that at least 3 or 4 times Fouts & Dumbledorf refer to the Texans as the Tits. That really gives me a rash.

For ten ****ing years now, almost every game, some dumbass announcer calls us either the Oilers or the Titans at least once.

I recall a couple of comments during the game about the refs "letting them play," although several articles I've read since lay partial blame for the Bears loss on the "inexplicable" lack of calls on Texans' DBs...http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1407115-texans-vs-bears-take-2-foster-feasts-on-the-bears (Nate Dunlevy sucks and shouldn't be writing articles about the Texans on a Texans' fan site).

That pair is by far the worst team we get for our broadcasts. When they get the assignment I routinely turn the broadcast sound off and listen to the game on the radio.

lol

I find that funny, because Marshall was cheating the entire game.

Has anyone else noticed that Collinsworth seems to dislike us?

I noticed it first in the Greenbay game where he had absolutely nothing positive to say about us from the first snap till the end of the game. Well that isnt entirely true.. he would say something positive but immediately follow it up with a "...but".

For example, he might say something like "J.J. Watt is just a beast in the pass rush. ...but the question is, does Houston have anyone else on this defense that they can rely on."

Then he would follow that up with a 5 minute dissertation on the sheen and definition of Clay Mathews' pulsing biceps and how if Jesus himself came down from heaven the first thing he would want to do is get Clay to sign his sandals.

He earned my ire in the GB game, and then solidified his place as "one of my least favorite people" in last nights game.

Now... my mother is far from "football savvy". And 99% of the time, when the Texans are playing, she watches about 5 minutes of actual game, and listens to the rest of it in spurts while she is walking around her house cleaning. But even she called me last night and asked me if Collinsworth used to be a Chicago Bear or something because he seemed to really favor them over us.

Its freakin annoying. The deuce-head even went so far as to say that the Bears are bigger and stronger and are looking to overpower a weaker Texans team.

I understand that color commentary requires you to voice your opinion as often as the facts.. but it seems really unprofessional to me that a primetime announcer should be so obviously bias.

Whatever the case.. if I ever meet him in person im gonna give him the stink eye and spit on his adidas.

Brown, black or pink stick?

Marshall is notorious for pushing off. I believe it was Marshall's first reception of the game and JJo went over and had a fairly long but not heated discussion with the ref. Very smart move - basically call it on both of us or call it on neither of us I suspect. There were calls which could have been made on JJo but if they did there should have been Marshall mugging calls as well.

I do think there should have been a call when KJ got steamrolled.

I remember a couple long passes aimed at Marshall, when JJo was basically
forcing Marshall to have to catch the ball one handed. The dropped
touchdown was a clear example of Marshall pushing off, but not being
able to recover in time to catch the ball.

Jaws is the guy I can't stand. Gruden is the guy I like the most.

I can appreciate Jaws for his knowledge and what he brings to the discussion, just can't handle his voice inflections during his presenting it. Used to make me wanna mute it but then I wouldn't know what he said that I didn't wanna listen to him say. Ya know? :gun:

For all of yall that hate Collinsworth I'll be sure and let you know how he does tonight on Inside the NFL.

you do that, we'll all be hanging on his every word. not :cheese:

Well, since you asked, he said in the (internet only) picks on Inside the NFL that they don't talk enough about the great job Wade has done on our defense.

I only say that since you sounded interested. :)
