Well, we'd be 5-6.

We could go 4-1 but that would leave us in the fray. Tiebreakers and all. Would be infinitely tougher. 5-0 would have to be the recipe.

You're right. We wouldn't be mathematically eliminated.
 
Yes mallet sucked today. The D got abused. Mallet still hasn't played with Foster. And clowney makes David Carr look productive
 
So we have a QB with all the measurables that people have complained about, but he appears to be colorblind. Can't have it all, I guess.

8-8 is still doable, and better than I thought they would do.

If they finish .500 then I give the nod to B.O. over Gary, since
Gary could only muster 6-10

Really? I thought the Texans didn't use a high draft pick on a QB this year because next year was full of franchise quarterbacks. I guess they can keep waiting.

Good thing we didn't pay Mallet last week huh?

2 games and he's been average, better than Fitz but still just average. Had chances to win the game, too bad we didn't have Foster. Had no running game.

Defense can go **** themselves too. They gave up third down after third down after third down after third down. They're complicit in this catastrophe.

What I noticed about Mallett, is that he relies on his arm "too much".
(and his super fast release)

he seems to read the field more slowly than expected, then when
he sees a guy he thinks will come open he muscles the ball in.
(usually too hot to handle).

I think this is why he doesn't hit TE's and check downs as much.
He doesn't scan the whole field quick enough..

Or at least it looks like that to me..
