and really its hard to base things on the salary cap. Sure we may have less cap space this year.. but depending on how the contracts were written.. we could be one of the lowest next year. it all depends on what season a particular player is in on his contract. Casserly is right though about an expansion team having more troubles with that kind of stuff. Once some of the older more expensive players leave us, and are replaced by our own draft picks and such.. we will be in a much better situation.
The Texans had six former first-round choices on their roster. The Patriots had five.
The Texans had 20 players taken in the first three rounds of the draft. The Pats had 13.
The Texans had a former overall No. 1 pick playing quarterback Carr. The Patriots had a former 199th pick at QB Brady.
haha man we are not downing the organization or saying it has failed, its off season and we get kinda bored and find stuff to talk about.
And the problem with that would be ...He makes it sound like he wants Charley to build this franchise just like them and be a New England copycat
This is further evidence that the OLine doesn't need to play together as a unitaj. said:3/5 of the o-line is different (Light and Andruzzi are the only ones still there).

Coleman just signed a contract. Walker just signed a contract, and Payne may not come back and is a free agent. Carr gets a massive bonus this year and Gaffney will likely get a raise.Bottle-O-Bud said:Casserly is right, we are a new team and we need to spend money to build the core....
Carr, Gaffney, Coleman, Walker and Payne will take paycuts when thier contract is up...
Sharper may be in decline. He didn't impress me last season and will not command his current salary level after this contract, Johnson is inked for a long time, and so is Robinson...so thats kinda moot right now.Bottle-O-Bud said:Sharper, Johnson and Robinson will need to be paid more....
Funny how they weren't geniuses before they were Belichicks coordinators. Kraft hired BB 5 years ago and now has 3 Super Bowl rings. Those guys are fine coaches but the system is clearly Belichick's.Bottle-O-Bud said:Romeo Crenel and Charley Wies are both geniuses just like Bellichick. That coaching staff deserves to be in the hall. Why charlie went to ND I dont understand when he could have taken an NFL job...
