Jadeveon Clowney* DE South Carolina 6' 6" 270
Elite combination of length and athleticism with supreme production. Physically overwhelming and often seems unblockable. Excellent speed, bend, explosiveness and suddenness as a rusher. Strong and very physical at the point of attack. Consistently sheds blocks with upper body strength and quick twitch athleticism. Top closing speed. Has the athleticism and size to perform a variety of roles for a defense. Levels ball carriers.
Comment: I'm hoping poor senior year was not true measure of his talent. If he's as elite as projected, combining him with JJ would give us a killer DL. I still have regrets we didn't take Peppers over Carr and decide not to repeat history.

Cyril Richardson OG/RT Baylor 6' 5" 335
Massive road grader. Good length. Physical drive blocker. Engulfs guys. Stout and very strong. Generally good pad level. Keeps feet moving. Effective pulling at the college level. Decent though not great athlete. Good athleticism for size but has questionable short area quickness.
COMMENT: Top OG prospect, so he can compete for our LG spot, but could also be looked at as a RT candidate.

Chris Borland ILB Wisconsin 5' 11" 245
Well-rounded, talented, consistent playmaker. Explosive athlete with great leaping ability. Quick feet. Good range and is excellent in pursuit. Lacks height; plays super low to the ground. Flexible. Strong. Elite form wrap-up tackler. Displays top instincts, reaction and overall feel. Very physical and assertive attacking the line of scrimmage. Shows elite ball skills. A strong blitzer, using pass rush moves to get pressure.
Comment: With Cush being out for 2 straight years, depth at ILB is important. Really wanted Skov in 2nd, but injury scared me off and Borland gives us another Wisconsin tough guy to use on defense and special teams. When I read "elite form wrap-up tackler" I was sold. Although short, he also has all of the other qualities I'm looking for in an ILB.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB Eastern Illinois 6' 2" 230
Really quick, easy release. Great arm, flashing high RPMs in the short and intermediate areas. Good touch downfield. Fairly accurate to all levels, though footwork is not always consistent. Patient, goes through progressions. Has quick feet and some mobility. Possesses the strength and ability to hit passes while being hit. Benefits from great pass protection. Lacks great height.
Comment: My son told me to look at Jimmy and he's a very intriguing prospect. Yes, he may be son of Romo-like, which isn't bad if he's given the supporting cast and some time to develop. Supposedly he's got the quickest release in this class and threw for over 5k yards and 50+ TDs this year alone. He's moving up the list and could go in RD2 or RD3, however, I'm using this list and snagging him in RD4 with a smile.

Jeff Janis WR Saginaw Valley State 6' 3" 218
Every year there is a small school wide receiver who ends up earning a spot to play in a major All-Star game, and ends up getting selected in the NFL Draft. This year Jeff Janis is my guy who fills that need. The 63, 205 pound wide receiver from Saginaw Valley State, has all the tools to be great at the next level. He has great hands, is an excellent route runner and is STUPID fast.
In 2012, Janis finished the season with 96 receptions, 1635 yards receiving, averaging 148.6 yards a game. Lets not count out his touchdowns folks, the kid had 17 of them. Another impressive thing is the fact that Janis had 6 games with over 10 receptions, including a break out performance against Valdosta State where he lit them up for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns. Janis is on every NFL football teams radar right now, and he should be. This kid should have another huge season at SVSU.

Comment: Note I pulled this description off Draft Diamonds. While WR is not a huge need area, this kid looks to talented to pass up and would bring some speed and size to our special teams.

Deandre Coleman DT Cal 6' 5" 310
Great size with decent length and overall athleticism. Explosive get-off to penetrate and plays with nice pad level for his height. Violent at the point of attack. Was a true handful for blockers. Gets under blockers' pads and uses his length to keep linemen out of his body and chest. Possesses great strength to throw linemen away to disengage. Gets a push versus the run and pass. Stout at the point of attack and doesn't get pushed off the line. Can split double teams. Great penetrator and disruptor behind the line of scrimmage. Excellent hand use and moves, including an effective swim, to disengage quickly. Has only had one great season going into his senior year.
Comment: Hoping we get this pick from our FA losses. Looked for another DL who could play DT/NT and has some size. He's a bit tall, but seems to have the other attributes we need.

Antonio Andrews RB Western Kentucky 6' 0" 219
He led the NCAA in all-purpose yardage as a junior and senior, finishing fourth in the nation in rushing this year with a school-record 1,730 yards. He also had 16 touchdowns. He was the Sun Belt Conferences Offensive Player of the Year. Among his accolades was being named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award, an honor bestowed upon the nations top running back. He was the only semifinalist from a non-automatic BCS qualifier conference.
Comment: Another sleeper who could go higher than this, but is a versatile RB that has a proven college career.

Shawn Jackson ILB Tulsa 6' 0" 255
Unique athlete. Very good range and burst to the ball. Balance. Great bulk. Top read and react skills. True playmaker in all facets of defensive football. Great filling running lanes as well as shedding blocks. Elite pass rusher with versatility to traditionally rush from the outside as well as blitz from classic linebacker positions. Impact hitter. Productive playmaker in pass coverage. Infectious attitude with a great motor. Doesnt necessarily look the part. Lacks great height and is not in the best looking physical condition.
Comment: I know, another ILB, but again I'm looking for depth and talent. In RD7 this kid looks to have some talent and attitude that can definitely help in special teams.
Overall, this projection doesn't get us an elite QB in RD1, but Garoppolo was recruited and trained by the same guys who built Romo and they compare his talent (not brain farts) with the Dallas QB. Clowney, Borland and possibly Coleman give us some immediate help on front 7. Richardson competes for starting spot on OL at either LG or RT. Janis, Andrews and Jackson help competition and special teams. I'm hoping that BOB can bring some toughness, attitude and creativity to the Texans. This draft definitely helps our talent. I wish I could have found a TE, but didn't see one accept the Wisc kid in the 7th and he is similar to Daniels and Graham.
