Carr's INT's...

TPIMP

Waterboy
I've had time to go back (with the help of Tivo) and look at DC's 2 INT's.

On the first one he was not at fault. After a holding penalty on OL David was trying to hit AJ in the middle of a zone defense. LB Brady James was not looking at David when he threw it but he turned at just the right time and made a great play to get a hand on the ball. Then Greg Ellis made a heck of a diving catch on the tip. Unlucky and the result of trying to get the ball downlfield ater the penalty.

The second INT was all on DC. He had AJ alone to the left and Moulds, Walters, Owens and Gado all on the right. Dallas was in a Zone so it seems the better options would be to the right. David looked at AJ from the snap. From what you can see on TV it appears Gado was the best option and Moulds was comming open short across the middle. It's hard to complete a comeback throwing from the opposite hash against a zone defense. The ball stayed in the air too long.

Some people have commented about the lines good pass protection. After rewatching most of the game it doesn't appear that the Cowboys blitzed very much. They sat back and played pass in the secondary. The front 7 stopped the run.

which is exactly why there was nothing downfield. if you can stop the run with 7 people, there is no reason to blitz, meaning there are 7 in coverage and no where to go with the ball.

Really?,

Try this,

Name the front 7 and the 7 in coverage.

Front Line
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

Coverage

GO!

I was surprised by the lack of blitzing as well. And all our passes were short 3-step drops too. It would have been nice to burn themn deep a few times cause they weren't blitzing.
