Sir, please step away from the QB analogies. You might injure yourself. A while back you compared VY to Akili Smith, then you backed off of that, and today as a poor man's Vick???

I think a case can be made that VY cannot be compared properly to any QB college prospect, and certainly, there is nothing to suggest that he will be a poor man's Vick based on either your eyes or just plain ole stats:

The stats are not similar and their physical size is dissimilar. They are both QBs and both have more melanin than some, but I guess the only way he can be a "Poor Man's Vick" is that he has less money than him.

You know, reasonable people can disagree with whatever the choice for the #1 pick is, and all choices have their pros and cons, but there is no need to get outrageous in what you say about the situation.




(Just as an aside, I wonder what happened to all those people who said VY was going to struggle in 2005 because his experienced receiver corp went away and was replaced with new guys.....shhhhh....that doesn't support the silly VY is bad argument so it can't be expressed out loud).

OK, OK, OK. Props on the Akili Smith thing...I was drinking or something...because it doesn't make any sense.

Now, why I am referring to VY as a "Poor Mans Vick" is because I don't think he's going to do much better than Vick in the NFL. If Vick would have stayed in college one more year, I believe he could have easily put up the #s VY did this year. That is my opinion. That game against USC was a little overrated for me, because USC's D was pretty lousy. They played right into VY's hand, blitzing him all the time, leaving VY practically the entire field to run around in. VY played against a weak Big 12 division, with their only meaningful games against USC and "Thee" Ohio State. JMO. . Whatever.

It was the leading NFL source in Denmark, a site called DraftDay which told the rumor Carr had asked to be released of his contract, but the management most likely would keep him.

I don't know where they heard it, but I'll try to find out.

Draftday are full of it, they get most of their info from reading gossip at espn.com.

Not that I can read Danish, but I didn't see the article that our Danish fan was talking about. Maybe understanding the language would help, but I have a hard enough time with English sometimes.

As I mentioned, draftday gets their info from ESPN...

I hate then one media quotes another medias rumor, thereby making it creditable news.
