YES WE CAN!
In Thorns case I thought "Yes we can" referred to the next round of drinks.
Texans aim to keep pace with AFC's elite
Why to watch
The Texans secured the AFC South (playoff picture), but surely want to retain a top-two seed, with Baltimore, New England and Pittsburgh also with 10 wins already. With all of the injuries they have suffered, however, it's easy to wonder if Houston starts to rest some workhorses down the stretch.
Inside story
Cam Newton has taken a step back in ball protection the past few weeks, and his poor decisions with the ball keyed Atlanta's comeback win a week ago. Teams have taken away more of the deep stuff to Steve Smith as well. T.J. Yates comes in sky high after marshalling a few Tebow-esque drives in Cincy last week to secure the division title. Arian Foster is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry in the last three weeks -- Ben Tate looks fresher -- and has also lost his first two fumbles of the year in that span. Expect Andre Johnson to rest that hamstring another week.
Sort of wonder who wrote this up-to-date prophetic Quick Take. The "footprint" for this article shows that it was published 12/18 (today).Texans aim to keep pace with AFC's elite

Is anyone going to Bubbas to watch today?
Roof closed! The Panthers may leave Reliant deaf today.
Roof closed! The Panthers may leave Reliant deaf today.
While the newly crowned AFC South champion Houston Texans clinched their first playoff berth last weekend, coach Gary Kubiaks focus remains on what lies ahead.
Houstons immediate future, though, remains a little unsettled with news of defensive coordinator Wade Phillips temporary medical leave of absence.
Hoping to persevere through Phillips leave, the Texans look to extend their franchise-best winning streak to eight games Sunday against the visiting Carolina Panthers.

Here is some of the usual stuff on the game day thread. Sorry I don't have the software on this PC to pretty it up.

Damnit Thorn!!!!!!!!
But, speaking of staring fate in the face, besides me doing the game thread, I'm also drinking on game day which I don't usually do. But, with tomorrow off, I'm gonna drink some beer and spit in the face of fate.
But, to appease the Football gods, I am making my usual game day meal of sliced sausages with potatoes, green beans, corn, and Seasame Chili oil.
I'm hungover and my AC is busted...and yet I couldn't be happier.
11-3!
I'm getting ready for the Superbowl....
About to go out on the balcony now. Ahh....love Texans Sundays.
Guess we will see how herring is as a DC
Surprised that hasn't been mentioned in the media
