Carolina Panthers @ Houston Texans. 12/18. 12 CST. FOX. **Official GameDay Thread**

This league has turned into a bush league.

Why? Because they just basically walked one in on us? This is embarrassing and it's evidence why we aren't yet mentally ready to be serious contenders. We clinch a division and act like it's the pinnacle of the season.

We have a playoff worthy team, but this is not a Super Bowl contender with our QB situation. If we are going deep into the playoffs, it will be under Delhomme or Garcia. Not Yates.

I bet you wish you were # 69 for Carolina during that TD celebration!

TD Panthers.

Wow.

I've seen enough.

Not bailing on the team. Just had enough for today. I hope Kubiak rips them two new ones at half time.

Where's that fabulous defense dalemurphy was on about??
:toropalm:

thanks for jinxing us dude.
good job.

The Texans will be foolish if they do not get one of the veteran QBs some action in this game.

Agree. Gary knows it is highly unlikely that Yates can carry this team deep into the playoffs. That is why he signed two veterans.

And he is going to be quick to make a switch when he feels that Yates is slipping.

STFU announcers. Where did they get these amatuers???????

Did guys should cover 4A Football, they are dry, lame, annoying, and just generally suck.

Of course they had to fit Peyton in there and dis our accomplishments.

Watch the replay. Since when can o linemen be moving on the LOS as the ball is being snapped?

Fans are booing, that's BS, this ain't Philly.

Its one game, get the crap play out of the way for the playoffs.

I'm not reading much into this. Interim DC is coaching himself out of future real DC jobs, good players (and Jacoby Jones) are dropping passes that are hitting them in the hands, our #3 QB is suddenly playing like his position on the depth chart, and our #1 RB is gifting the ball.

Paging Wade's kidney. Please come back. We need you.

True, but it's the pinnacle of the Texans franchise history. At least so far.
We'll see how this game eventually ends. Personally I thought they were dead last week going into the half down 16 to 3.

The team deserves those boos. Hundreds of fans show up to congratulate the team on winning the division, and then they play like this?

Sounded like he was talking about the horrible roughing call then the horrible no-call when Newton's pass hit a lineman in the back - yet according to the book is not a penalty since "it was not intentional." Dunno.

Well, now we get to see what TJ Yates is made of in the 2nd half.

In the meantime, we are still going to the playoffs no matter what happens today, so I'm not going to get to depressed over this.

Meh, This ain't over.

Texans are down so big because of their own mistakes. Just like Last week. If they get a shot of Mo they will get right back in it.

That one drive where Yates threw the INT, 2nd and 13 but we should have kept running the ball. Tate and Foster were tearing it up.

I haven't slobbered all over Yates, I've tempered my remarks about TJ. Newton is a flash in the pan. He is having a great year for a rookie, but he should emjoy it while it lasts.

Conjecture. Maybe the same will prove true about Watt as well.

Of course, in this heads up contest, Newton is owning Watt and this defense.

Two straight weeks we have a terrible first half.

This week is just beyond embarrassing, no fight on either side of the ball what so ever.

Panther's players are hitting hard and having fun while we stand around with blank expressions.

All I can say is WOW. Really guys? Sheesh. I need a beer, Glad I stayed home. I guees this could be our reality check.:beerfunnel:

personally i was expecting a let down game, we win 7 in a row, we clench the south so many highs in the last week, that i felt this coming.

Well we needed to be humbled sometime before playoffs anyway. We have made a lot of mistakes the last couple weeks and managed to get away with it. The players need to know that need to play much better to win, especially come playoffs.

Yeah, my anger level went down some when I thought of this, but that number one seed.... I just have a feeling that the Ravens and Pats are losing today.

"Mistakes" = not stopping Cam?

If you want off the band wagon the exit is the rear. It's one game, good teams, and elite teams some times play like crap it happens. This team is ready one bad game doesn't change that.

Panthers at goal line and the D is obviously out of place with 3 timeouts. Why didn't we call a timeout so we can set the D?

Yes, I saw the replay. I'm going to go ahead and bet that the team of refs didn't overlook anything and made the right call. But I admit that I don't know how the rule works.
