What is he talking about? All teams will be agressive on defense. All teams will double and triple team Johnson. He wont take responsibility for anything. This is getting very old. He needs to start jumping some butt, including his own. Stop giving credit to the other team and own up to a pourly played and coached game. Here is the look on his face. :confused: And here I am :hairpull:
 
I am getting really tired of hearing that Capers is still confident after somebody cleans our clocks. If he would at least say, "We got beaten really badly and, yes, I'm worried about this team," I'd have more respect for him. He's either lying when he says he's not worried or he's stupid.

Yes, there's that chance that they may get it together, but it's sure not likely to happen against Pittsburgh this Sunday. I'm looking at a loss in Cincinatti, too, that I previously hoped we'd win.
 
He is suberb at telling the fans why things happened. He has no idea what's going to happen or how to counter...
 
What else should he be saying "It's the end, doom and destruction is coming!!!" and then run crying off the set? This is a standard comment that he's supposed to shoot off.

Any problems within the team/coaching needs to be left just that, within. Once these problems gets out in the media it's a mud-fight. Just look at T.O. and the Eagles as an example of how much **** can happen once the problems become official.
 
Capers needs to call guys out. Including himself. That game was doom and gloom. Something must change. Allthough they are grown men, they still need a butt chewing.

Actually, I wrote what I think he should've said. No point hiding it from fans who already know they got their butts kicked.
 
His first comments on the radio show was "we fought hard", coach your team had no fight in them on sunday. Don't tell me they fought hard, and competed. They did not. The sooner you get into reality, the sooner these problems will be solved.

Speaking about these things in public has a tendency to "rat" out people. Not something you want to do as a head coach. Ratting out players/coaches is a sure way of creating VERY bad chemestry on a team.

So, while DC publicly speaks of confidence in the team, I'm sure the team is getting another story alltogether.

I agree!! Look at other good coaches who have called out players:
Parcells, Ditka, Lombardi, Halas, the Redskin coach(can't think of his name-not Gibbs), etc. They were no BS coaches, either put out or get out!

Here's an example of what successful NFL coaches might say after their game plan gets exposed as having serious game-losing flaws:

"I need to do a better job of putting my players in position to make plays on the offensive side of the ball." --Andy Reid, last night after losing to Atlanta (see my post on this here )

It's time for some owning-up. The players seem to be able to do it this week. Super Bowl coaches who lose seem to be able to do it. Why can't Capers?

I think he finally has it figured out. I heard him say on TV last night that our players just didn't execute. :shocked
Where have I heard that before?
 
HJam is right...Capers comments pin him to either be LYING or STUPID. I believe we are unfortunately now at a place where the integrity of the organization is at stake. You cannot build anything of value on a lie. Capers says during the preseason debacle "he wants to see who will come out and fight the rest of the way"...right words coach except you cut the guys that believed you and performed and kept the guys that did not (Hollings and Bradford)

And "what was he suposed to say"...give me a break. What would Parcels have said? What did he say last year when his team was stinking up the place (albeit nothing like this team is doing)? He challenged his players, his coaches and himself in front of the media!!! He called it unacceptable and embarassing. AJ told the truth "it was embarassing" (and was ushered away for doing so. What does that tell you?) Carr told the truth when he said that if they faced the Bills again right now they would get beat again.

Capers said the team came out and "competed hard"...really, that is not what I saw with the exception of a few players. This media speak stuff does not do Capers, the organization or the fans any good. Tell the unvarnished truth...the players are big enough to take it, the fans are big enough to take it and we all will respect the leadership and direction of the team more that way even in the tough times.
 
"COACH BELICHICK: It was nice, it was a nice game to win, a nice way to start out the season with a victory. Tough game, Oakland is a real good football team and they gave us a lot of problems. In the end I think it was our ability to get the ball into the end zone down in the red area, that was important. Penalties in the second half, that certainly helped us out and got a big turnover there from Vince [Wilfork] , a couple good punts by Josh [Miller] gave us good field position. Overall, it's the first game, we've got a lot of work to do, in all areas, playing, coaching, just general execution, you name it. Stumbled around there on a few things tonight. You know, it's going to catch up with us if we don't get them fixed. But it's a good win, give the players a lot of credit they played hard, a lot of them went the whole way pretty much every snap out there opening night after not doing that in preseason. So that's a real testament to their conditioning and hard work getting ready for this game physically. We've just got to do a better job mentally and play better situation football. "
