Bush Interviews

It started with Tomilson singinng Reggie's praises.

Lead into talk LT's workout, which Reggie stated as being as close to what he envisions Lance Armstrong doing, without knowing Lance's workout procedures.

Pimped the www.subwayfreshbuzz.com website

He has not bought a car yet, despite the thread here about that.

Says he expects to go #1.

Talked about the Pro-Day, said he wanted to do enough to show the scouts that he is ready to worl like he has to, to be succesful in the NFL.

Said Lendale's leg isn't 100%, but he still going to have a private workout before the draft.

Talked about Leinart dropping Steinberg (sp?) his agent.

Talked about how Reggie picked his agent, Segal. Said he interview 7 tp 8 agents, and felt most comfortable with Segal.

Syashis plans from nos till Draft Day, are to continue shopping for a car and to continue to work out to be ready for the NFL. The interviewer is pushing the car subject. They also talked about what he'll wear to the draft :brickwall: I swear this guy is from teh Rich Lord school of broadcasting.

Reggie says the facet fo his game that he'll have to work on the most to be succesfull in the NFL is pass boclking. Says he wants to be known as a complete back.

Said the Fresno St run was his favorite in college, but he also liked the ND run where he hurdled the DB. (me thinks this nothing but a fluff peice)

He's working on wearing #5 in the pros. It's an idea and wants to wear #5 in the NFL and is working on doing that with the NFL. SOunds like it's in the preliminary stages.

That's all folks.

Yah I just read an article about him petitioning the league to try and get the #5.

There is some precedence..since WRs have been allowed to wear numbers outside their range recently, due to the number of WRs and such coming into the league, and the numbers being retired. But Edgerrin James, before he was drafted, also tried to petition the league to get the #5 jersey, and they turned him down.

I dont think Bush will have much luck.. hopefully someone has clued him in to the history of #34 :)

It's just a thought but Reggie might have a better argument than Edge though. He could say he's a multi-positional player and therefore could argue an alternative number. Obviously that just popped into my head and really has no credence.

Interviewed by Chris Myers and Ben Maller.

It was a fairly pedestrian interview without a whole lot of new information. Subway...proday....LenDale White was a good teammate....

One thing about it that kind of struck me was when he was asked if he expected to be taken #1 by the Texans. He said that that was what he was preparing himself for. That he expected to be the number one pick. Whether it was the Texans or another team he expected to be Number 1.

Makes me wonder if some other team is whispering sweet nothings into his ear about trading up to get him.

He's always said that

Could you be more specific about what LT and RB said about each other and their work-out regiment? That stuff sounds interesting.

I remember hearing an interview around the Heisman ceremony where Bush said that when he first worked out with LT he was pretty cocky and thought that he could hang with him, but after LT worked him and Bush puked a few times during the workout he was humbled and realized what it takes to be an elite RB in the NFL.
