Bush and his big britches

First let me start off by saying, I really like Bush as an athlete and think he can immediatly help our offense. He is elusive and is a game breaker. Having said that I am getting a little shaky on the Texans signing him. Every comment that he has made about coming to Houston has been lackadaisical at best. I understand he has been given a few things most of us have not due to his athletic performance, but it just kinda seems a little to holier than thou the way he talks. Like he is above playing here. The Texans have made quite an effort to improve their team and he acts like we are completely devoid of opportunity to improve. Everytime he mentions being drafted he always says "or wherever I end up" or "New York has been so good to me". Now before you say that is normal, most first draft pick hopefuls seem elated to get their city and help out. I may just be blowing things out of proportion, but he seems to have a T.O. attitude before he has played a snap of N.F.L football ala Eli Manning.

Bush doesn't care where he ends up as long as he goes #1. For the most part that is the same story of any top prospect. The only reason Bush's comments are getting blown out of proportion is because of how much VY wants to come here, or shoud I say stay here.

I agree. I think the vast majority of NFL draftees are not particularly in love with the team that picks them. they go where they've been told to go and they're paid well to do it. In the case of guys going in the top 10 they're almost always going to bad teams. Someone explain to me what's so exciting about becoming the new running back for the 2-14 Houston Texans for instance.
On the other hand VY is a Houstonian so he'd be playing for his home team and he's excited about that. Of course it sounds different.

well, not many incoming backs already have a probowl receiver to take pressure off them. As far as the offenses of the first 4 picks, the Texans have the best skill players, maybe second to NO, but Bush wouldn't get to run the ball as much there as he will in Houston because of Deuce...

You hit the nail right on the head battle red, that is EXACTLY what i was saying. He may want out half way through his contract.

He seems like too much of a stand up guy to play games with us after 3 or 4 years. But then again you never know.

As for his comments... I think he knows nothing is set in stone and is trying to keep from opeing his mouth too much by saying stuff about us then ending up somewhere else and looking like a fool.

Kinda like when you don't talk specifically about a job you just interviewed for with friends.. you wait till you're hired to open your mouth.
