Here is a link to the dotcom's preview of the game. I'm pretty interested in Jessie Nading and from what I read the coaches aren't sure what to make of Adibi if he can't get on the field. I also want to see how our secondary performs against Chris Sims...ok, maybe not. :spit: He is supposed to see the field tonight for whatever that's worth.

The morbid part of me laughs at streaming the cuts live.

I hope it's high enough resolution so that we can see the players go through all five stages. Denial, bargaining, anger, all that.
 
So I take it that Adibi isn't playing in today's game. That's disappointing if he isn't.

And I agree with Vinny. Start the rooks!
 
Agreed, start the rooks and Jacoby. Dude needs to get in some punt returns where he doesn't fumble the dang ball.

I honestly dunno about this, so is anybody even implying that Adibi is at risk of being released if the Texans can't complete their evaluation of him ?
He's our fourth round pick this year, so that alone gets him a roster spot IMO, or long-shot for IR ?

left it simple, vanilla without alot of creativity. I'm sure the Texans can keep two or three of these players (including another safety, like Earl) if they want to quote "hide" roster spots. However don't forget 31 other teams have to make roster moves too which should expose a player or two who Smith/Kubiak may want instead. Also the possiblity of trading players/prospects working together for each teams benefit. RB, CB, DE, LB who knows right now we'll see tonight after the Tampa game :shades:
 
You're also only giving them 45 players. Is it 45 + 8 for practice squad or is it 53 + 8 for practice squad? I'd always thought it was 53 on the active roster.
 
So you have 53 on your roster and 8 on the PS, right? But you have to have 8 people deactivated on gameday?

That's the way it should be. Let them duke it out with the reserves. I count 22 stone-cold locks for the roster (Schaub, Sage, Slaton, Leach, Daniels, AJ, Walter, Davis, D.Brown, Winston, Pitts, Myers, Mario, Okoye, T.Johnson, Diles, DeMeco, Bennett, Demps, Turk, K.Brown and Pittman). These guys--except for the 3 special team specialists--should just enjoy the evening hanging out in Reliant.

That leaves 53 players (less the injured) to play the game tonight.

Of course, the rookies like Adibi, Molden and Okam are virtual locks, but we need them to get as much experience as possible. Same is true for D. Brown, but we're counting on more of a contribution from him, so we shouldn't risk the injury.

What I find most silly about it is the reason. Well, at least the reason I've been told is that it helps to keep competitive balance since teams have injured players that can't play some weeks and it wouldn't be fair to have one team with more players available than another team. They could just handlle them all they way they use 3rd QBs on game day. 8 players are dressed but listed as emergency players. They can only enter a game because of injury. Oh well.

Does Weaver really make this team? I just cant see it. No way we should cut Kalu and keep him.:(

I really hope its - Williams, Okoye, Johnson, Cochran, Okam, Kalu, Bulman, Robinson, Maddox

Switch out Colvin for Bulman maybe. Hope not.

Weaver makes the team cause of money, that does not mean he should but such is life.
