Yep, Schaub did it all the time ...Only in Houston can a guy throw 3 Tds and still suck...

Another ping pong fan apparently ...Defense gave up 30 pts, you're not gonna win many games giving up that many pts..as doc bar said, yeah he had some errant throws, but 100 % of qbs have those....Hoyer wasn't the reason the team lost today..
This loss wasn't on Hoyer. I'll take the play I saw from him today any day of the week. Yeah, he had a couple of errant throws, but so do 100% of QB's in the NFL. Defense cost the Texans the W in this game, during the 1st half. Buffalo ran all over this defense.
This loss was entirely on Hoyer and Godsey. Our terrible run game was the only reason the ball moved today. Sure the defense started slow, but Hoyer was given every opportunity to win the game and he failed miserably. He's a shitty quarterback and to argue otherwise is folly.

You sir are clueless
Considering the source, thanks!

This board by far ...I don't know what's more entertaining.. watching the Texans win or reading this board after they lose.

No heart. Can tell by the way he acts and the lack of effort. Why he is still in the league baffles me. I wont buy him a beer. Enjoy.I'm sure he's a swell guy, and I'd enjoy a beer with him, but I don't enjoy counting on him to lead my football team to victory in the clutch.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for you, as a fan on here, so we can agree to disagree.I certainly hate what I saw under center today.

This loss was on Hoyer as much as anyone.
So the d
The Texans D gave up 187 yards rushing, one rushing TD and 3 passing TDs and it's all on Hoyer.
I'll be honest, I expected Hoyer to throw a game sealing pick six. He didn't do it. My hat is off to the Buffalo Bills. They played one helluva game. So did the Texans.

You're a very good poster on here. Why do you think it's as much on Hoyer as anyone else? This loss was on Hoyer as much as anyone.
In this league you have to have a QB who can make plays late in games with time expiring, windows tightening, and pressure coming, to compete at a high level. If anyone really believes Hoyer is going to do that consistently ... well, I really don't know what you think you've seen of the guy all along.
I'm sure he's a swell guy, and I'd enjoy a beer with him, but I don't enjoy counting on him to lead my football team to victory in the clutch.
Whatever. If you didn't enjoy watching this game, you must like winning, not football. This was a good football game. My team just came out on the wrong end of the final score. I enjoyed this game much more than I did the Atlanta or Miami games. My team was in it until the end. **** happens, someone usually has to lose.Spoken like a guy who coaches little kids

He's a game manager and nothing else.. always has been so I don't know why people get upset when he keeps showing that.
He's a QB that you have to keep in a positive down and distance and give a lead to and not you to bring you back from a deficit too often, because he sucks at driving the ball down field.. He doesn't have the arm or the accuracy to do it.
Our defense plaid like crap today, but I do give some credit to the Bills playcalling.. So that put Hoyer in a uncomfortable position right there from the get go..
Long story short.. was Hoyer the sole reason we lost.. no, but he is why we won't consistently win until we find a franchise QB.. because your defense is going to have days like this no matter how good they are (that's just how today's league is) and in those games you need a QB who can carry you to a victory.
I can agree with this.He made a few good plays in the game, and that was nice. But you have to know having watched the game a while that plays down the stretch in games, in seasons, and certainly in the postseason are weighted to make all the difference between whether or not a guy is THE guy or just a guy. Hoyer contributed to keeping us in the game, and again, that's very nice. When the chips were down though, did you honestly feel like he was gonna saddle up and drive us to a win, or did you kinda think the end was gonna play out just like it did?
And I didn't say that it's more on Hoyer than anyone else, but with the ball in his hands and a chance to keep a season rolling, well, his floor met his ceiling. He had a chance to shine. It was there. Instead he ultimately contributed to the mediocrity of this team as much as anyone else. He is what he is.
and winning...Go back to your video games chump...you're in the running for worst poster on this forum..
I guess that my whole take on the NFL is that it's the ultimate team game. You simply can't say that one player cost the team a game 99% of the time. Just look at San Diego. Rivers is having a career year throwing the ball, but the team sucks.
To me, that's what sets Tom Brady apart. He does what he does, regardless of who he has to throw to. He is a once in a lifetime player. If you're expecting the Texans to find the next Tom Brady, you're going to be very disappointed for a very long time.
Come on Groucho..."I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE HOYER AS A MEMBER".
I mean it's like guys don't watch the other 40 something minutes in the game and don't watch the other side of the ball..
Yep. It's odd that no one is calling for Watt's head, considering the Buffalo OL woes. I guess Hoyer has to get sacks as well a TD passes. My view 100%.. Guys thinking a franchise qb is gonna rescue this team from mediocrity/losing are gonna be in for a rude awakening. Been watching this game too long and I know better. Your seeing the equivalent of this fictious belief on the defensive side of the ball with JJ Watt.
Facial expression. Demeanor. Throwing the ball up instead of moving and trying to make a play. Oh, I don't know ... just sucking. How did he lack effort? And how did he act heartless that you could expressly tell?
I absolutely agree with this post. Hoyer Choked. How many times did Peyton Manning choke in crunch time? I will b happy with the play I saw today from Hoyer. **** happensI don't want to put it all on Hoyer.
Overall, I thought it was a good game. Plenty of back & forth. Our offense beat there defense & scored. Their offense beat our defense & scored. Our defense beat their offense & got us the ball back. Their defense beat our offense & got them the ball back.
That's football.
But there was a point where we had opportunities to score & take the lead. But we never did. That one there at the end, we're we could have tied the game again... Hoyer threw 4 balls that no one was going to catch, giving us no reasonable chance of winning.
Every body does what they have to do to give us a chance to win the game at the end. I mentioned before, I was impressed that Hoyer did what he needed to do to keep the game in contention.
But at the end, he choked.
This loss wasn't on Hoyer. I'll take the play I saw from him today any day of the week. Yeah, he had a couple of errant throws, but so do 100% of QB's in the NFL. Defense cost the Texans the W in this game, during the 1st half. Buffalo ran all over this defense.
Do you have a point? A TD beats the hell out of 5 punts and a missed FG. And your quote doesn't include the busted coverage, go ahead TD play. In a one score game. Basically, you're trying to cherry pick stats. Here was Buffalo's offense in the 2nd half in a one-score game...
3 plays, 8 yards (punt)
6 plays, 8 yards (punt)
7 plays, 59 yards (missed FG)
3 plays, 0 yards (punt)
4 plays, 22 yards (punt)
3 plays, 4 yards (punt)
That's 26 plays for 99 yards and 0 points. So how did our offense respond to the defense standing up?
5 plays, 19 yards (punt)
6 plays, 13 yards (punt)
6 plays, 15 yards (punt)
6 plays, 83 yards (TD)
3 plays, -1 yard (punt)
3 plays, 4 yards (punt)
That's 29 plays for 133 yards and 8 points. Our defense stood up and held Buffalo on 6 straight drives and we only managed 1 scoring drive during that span.
Hoyer contributed to keeping us in the game, and again, that's very nice. When the chips were down though, did you honestly feel like he was gonna saddle up and drive us to a win, or did you kinda think the end was gonna play out just like it did?
