It's not that I think we're all that, but I was very disappointed with the level of competition last week. I knew the 49ers were going through a traumatic transition, I guess I just underestimated how far they would fall.

Broncos are also going through a bit of a transition, but hopefully there's enough talent left to still be competitive.

Fingers crossed, no injuries.

The 49ers lost too much on defense, including three All Pro caliber players, not to mention their head coach this off-season. And personally, I feel Colin Kaepernick is extremely overrated and greatly overpaid. I wouldn't be shocked if the 49ers go 6-10, or worse, in 2015. The Broncos on the other hand will be a Super Bowl contender in the AFC (as good as the Patriots and Colts) so tonight is a very good test for us.

If we can play with the big boys then we're doing something right. We play the Colts twice and Patriots once during the regular season but this will be our only chance to play the Broncos unless we meet them in the playoffs. So we'll play the three best teams in the AFC. If we can beat them then we have arrived to say the least.

Although being just a preseason game tonight's game doesn't have that extra juice and excitement to me. If this was a regular season game I'd be pumped up and treating it like a playoff game. My intensity level isn't quite dialed up to 100 % at the moment. It's more around 60 % and taking it easy right now. I'm saving my energy for the regular season.

I thought it was reported he wasn't playing earlier in the week?
Someone on the Broncos forum said Watt isn't playing, anyone got a confirmation on that?

O’Brien: “there will probably be a couple of guys who won’t play in the game.”

Last week, Watt, Wilfork and JJo did not play.
This Chronicle article pretty much tells us that JJo will be playing.
Sooo........

Last year, Watt played a grand total of 19 snaps in the preseason and only played in two games.

In 2013, he played in one preseason game with just two snaps.

In 2012, Watt didn’t play in any of the preseason games, according to the official NFL game books.

Not confirmed yet, but unlikely for Watt or Wilfork. Watt was unsure in a hit with Denver media.

You've got a very young O-line learning ZBS scheme... no way I'd risk either to cut blocks or side-of-knee hits. Especially for a handful of snaps.

Both know the defense well enough. We'll see.

I wonder if the Texans will be going all out the game since next week we play the saints and we prob won't want to show, them anything since we do play them in the regular season ...??? I wonder if bill and racks have thought of this

I doubt if our coaches know the schedule for regular season. IIRC Smith has to email them the Saturday before the game to inform them of the next day's opponent. That is why the old saying "one game at a time" exists.

BOB's interview indicated some players wouldn't play, but didn't specifically indicate which. But Watt and Wilfork are likely candidates, so someone might have just run with it.

If we show stuff this week the Saints will see it anyway and prepare for it during the regular season. It doesn't matter who you show stuff against. All of it goes on film.

Short of possibly an isolated example, the Texans are not likely to show anything sophisticated this game or any other preseason game.......anything beyond plain and simple basics. O'brien will want to run the basics..........and expect them to be well-executed consistently.

well we will show it against the Saints players ...!!!!

but it does not matter anyways BOB runs his system just like the pats change it up every 2 weeks or heck change it up by half time

Now is when I'm going to start missing the capability of recording TV. I would DVR the game and watch bits and pieces of it again later during the week. I've thought about getting a TV card for my PC, but just haven't done it.

Not dressing tonight...

Foster, Parks, Ballentine, Tarpinian, Cliett, Su'a Filo, Denham, and Pagan
Ballentine and Tarpinian are a surprise. I figure them to be on the bubble. Are they hurt? Pagan I have on my 53, but not playing tonight?

Please God no injuries. We've suffered enough.

And no injuries for them. The more "not Patriots" there are in the AFC, the better.

Peyton Manning ain't so bad is he?

Kevin Johnson and Kareem Jackson with two big plays.

Broncos have to punt. Take that Peyton!!!!!

Three and out. I remember that Gary Kubiak offense.

NFL Gamepass. And you get a condensed version, and the all 22 version, and you can go back and look at historical games from previous seasons.
