Brian Flores lawsuit, etc.

Also apparently Ross offered Flores $100,000 a game to lose and tank the season.

Meant for the other thread. Re Flores lawsuit against NFL

He must be mad because we are the Texans are the only ones that will hire him.

Texans probably won’t do that now…

Please please please, let the Texans be a defendant in this lawsuit, be found guilt of whatever, I don't care and the McNairs forced to sell the team
I think the stuff about the prominent QB, vindicates Houston. All of Watson's "reasons" for getting out were made up, or overemphasized.

610 reports Flores is suing NFL, claiming racism.

I can already hear his argument..

Exhibit A: "How the hell does a pasty white guy get a head coaching job with zero coaching experience?!"..

Defense argument from NFL lawyers: "Because it's Cal McNair and the Houston Texans.. Doesn't have anything to do with race, They're just incompetent dumbasses. They also hired a black guy no one else wanted just the season before."

Judge:.. "Can't fix stupid, case dismissed". 😄

This Flores loser seems like an unbelievable cancer.

Now suing the NFL and the Giants over "racism" and bitching about Belichick texting him instead of daboll mistakenly of whatever.

It’s a little more to that buddy.

its the fact that the text Beli meant to send to Daboll was before Flores even completed his interview…basically saying his interview was only to satisfy the Rooney rule and they had no intentions of hiring him.

I find the stuff about Steven Ross to be even more damning.he might be forced to sell……..much to the delight of Dolphins fans.

And for the record, I believe every damn thing he alleges.

So Houston "swaps" Flores for Watson + huge package? Caserio says tampering Steve costs you at least a round one in addition to what I originally wanted. So pay through the nose and get DW. NFL stays out of it and you and I both get what we want.

If the part about recruiting the Quitter on his yacht is true, seems there would be a contractual clause about conspiracy with another franchise. If the text messages become public record, could this give the Texas ground to sue Watson for breach of contract?

Edit: Nvm...looks like it may have been another QB. Ross was playing the field.

The NFL should come down full force on the Dolphins if these allegations are proven true. The whole "Watson was being pushed by Flores" thing makes more sense now. Ross is a snake...our owner is really just an idiot.

They need to get rid of the Rooney rule. The fact that you as a team are FORCED to interview a potential candidate for the mere fact of their skin color is really racist. And to add more fuel to the fire? You get 3rd round picks for merely hiring a minority in the GM role.

Now who would have motive to say that. “Prominent QB not Watson but I can’t say who it is”

When this allegedly happened, I believe TB12 was about to be a FA.. We also know Flores’ connection to NE and TB12….We also know that TB12 did eventually land in Tampa…another warm weather city in Florida in need of a qb.

clearky your bias towards all things negative with DW4 has clouded your judgement…..but this has been known with you from day 1.

Accidental Bill Belichick Text Messages At Center Of Brian Flores Racial Discrimination Lawsuit Against NFL, Giants

BOSTON (CBS) — Bill Belichick texted the wrong Brian to congratulate him for getting the Giants’ head coaching a job, according to a lawsuit filed by former Dolphins head coach and former Patriots assistant coach Brian Flores.

The lawsuit showed text messages of Belichick sending congratulations to Flores for landing the Giants job on Jan. 24. That text was sent two days prior to Flores actually interviewing for the job.

After Flores initially appeared confused by the text message, he asked Belichick, “Coach, are you talking to Brian Flores or Brian Daboll. Just making sure.”

Belichick replied: “Sorry – I f—ed this up. I double checked & I misread the text. I think they are naming Daboll. I’m sorry about that. BB”

The lawsuit alleges that Flores was then “forced to sit throug a dinner with Joe Schoen, the Giant’s [sic] new General Manager, knowing that the Giants had already selected Mr. Daboll. Much worse, on Thursday, January 27, 2022, Mr. Flores had to give an extensive interview for a job that he already knew he would not get — an interview that was held for no reason other than for the Giants to demonstrate falsely to the League Commissioner Roger Goodell and the public at large that it was in compliance with the Rooney rule.”

Brady signed with the Bucs early in 2020. The lawsuit mentions a meeting in winter 2020................

This is why you don't hire Flores.

If true, this proves Derrick is an even bigger piece of crap than originally thought.

Flores definitely has a lawsuit on his hands..

But then again the Rooney rule is patronizing at best to begin with.

you do understand that winter lasts thru march for some parts of the US right?

Point is, there are other guys it could’ve been besides you taking the bee line to DW4 b/c of your bias.

Ouch.

That's going to leave a mark.

Who forced Flores to go to dinner and interview for a job he knew he wouldn't get.

The 2nd part is right. But, he probably already knew that when he decided to go forward with the lawsuit.

Won't be surprised if other black coaches join this in a class action. Hey, the NFL had their chances to straighten this out. It's all on them.

I can think of at least 2 guys who would….Deuce Staley and Eric Bienemy.

Brady signed with the Bucs early in 2020. The lawsuit mentions a meeting in winter 2020................
It first mentioned the December 2019 meeting. Brady was still with the Pats. Also, Brady was still property of the Pats until the 1st day of the new league year, which would be in March 2020. It's winter until then.

You're going to have to explain this. Watson wasn't even involved in the situation.
Additionally, it appears at this point that Flores was the one stand-up person involved
It was implied that Derrick was with Ross/Flores on the yacht.

DeMeco Ryans passed on the second interview with the Vikings, probably for the same reason.

It looks like this lawsuit has been teed up and ready to go. Just looking for a coach to join in. And boy howdy, did they find a doozy.

Lawsuit specifically says winter of 2020 for the boat meeting .Besides Brady was going to be a free agent, no need to tamper.
