brandon jackson, RB, Nebraska

5'11 210lbs. 4.5 40yd.

prototypical size, could stand to put on 5-10 pounds. good blend of power and speed. can catch out of the backfield. is not overly explosive and won't run away from anybody. isnt a big game breaker and doesnt have much wiggle. could fit the one cut scheme that we have for our RB's.

overall, he looks like a solid back to have in a 2 back system and be the feature guy. isnt an elite prospect by any means, but looks to be a solid 1000 yard rusher. has good vision and runs in between the tackles. can break 1st tackle and run people over when he lowers his shoulder. a very good receiver. i think this is our guy if we pass on peterson. 3rd rounder.

First I've seen of him. He doesn't seem to have a lot of speed or quickness to outrun defenders. I also noticed he got tackled too easily. He can run them over when he lowers his shoulders....but I noticed he just seemed to get tripped up a lot and knocked down by his feet.

With that said he seems to have good vision. i liked the way he cut and hit the holes. which is something that is crucial in our system

he's listed at 4.5 at nfldraftcountdown, but he doesnt play up to his timed speed in games. sometimes he gets a great burst out of the hole, sometimes he doesnt. quicker than fast. i really love his receiving skills. could stand to bulk up his lower body. legs look a little skinny for a RB. i still think this guy could be our guy if we pass on peterson.

i don't want michael bush anywhere near this team...we already have an overweight runningback we don't need another

bush has a bum leg. id rather we take someone else.

If by bum leg you mean broken at the start of the year yes. He was due to have a monster year with that Louisville Offense and a healthy Brohm.... i can only imagine. Whole year pretty much to get back to playing shape isn't a lot to ask.

sure it is. because youre assuming he gets back 100%. if bush is healthy and can run a 4.55 or better, sure, take him, but im gonna set the standard pretty high for him if we are considering him.

look i don't want bush...end of story...i don't see him transfering well into the pros...at louisville and in the big east conference he dominanted...but look at the speed and the hitting ability of the defensive players in the big east and look at the nfl...there is a huge difference...and if you don't believe that counts for something just ask ohio state how much difference hitting ability and defensive speed mean to an offense...i'm not saying a player as to come out of a big time conference...but with a player at the runningback position i prefer a guy who doesn't look out of a shape...i prefer a guy who when i look at him i think speed, agility, and burst...when i look at bush i don't see that...i see ron dayne just younger and more injuried coming out of college

Really I see....http://www.giants.com/team/player.asp?player_id=133

I think another reason why the Giants didn't makea a big deal about Tiki Leaving is this kid in the background. Jacobs unless injured is going to be a hoss next year.

good argument with the jacobs reference...obviously you prefer more of the power type back...i prefer a guy who can do it all...a guy who can make defenders miss in the open field...guys who can also run through'em...and most importantly break the big one every now and then...the ideal back for me is a guy whose 5'10-6'0'' tall and around 225lbs...with a 40 time of no lower than a 4.55...there are a couple of backs in this draft that fit this mold and ironically adrian peterson is one but so is brandon jackson...antonio pittman can be that mold if he is able to add some weight which i think he can...but bush i just don't see...not saying he won't be a good back...i just see him more as a goal line short yardage back...same with jacobs to be honest with you...i think the giants will find out this upcoming season that he is not an everydown back in the pros

I don't know a whole lot about him at this point, I'll look into him more, but from what little I have see of him I wouldn't use a 3rd round pick on him. If he was around in the 5th or lower then I'd start looking for him, maybe I'll see more in him that impresses me when I get a better look at him, but at this point that is it.

I do like the Brandon Jackson Pick not goingto argue that i liked his production from what i saw this year. I however respectfully disagree i think Brandon Jacobs will have a breakout season...if Coughlin uses him right. He looked pretty athletic i nthe few games i watched him in and i am not sure about his hands out of the backfield but i do beleive i saw him on a few screens ...and that's just unfair for a DB lol.
