Brady vs Manning

Peyton Manning, after living a full life, died.
When he got to heaven, God showed him around. They came to a little house with a faded Colts flag in the window.
"This house is yours forever, Peyton," said God. "This is very
special; not everyone gets a house up here."
Peyton felt special indeed, and approached his house. On his way up the porch,
he saw another house up the street.
It was a 3-story mansion w/a blue and red sidewalk, a 50 foot tall
flagpole w/a huge Patriot logo flag, and in every window, a Patriot towel.
Peyton looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I
have a question.
I was an all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records and I even went to the Hall of Fame.
"God said "What's your point Peyton?"
"Well why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?" God chuckled, and said
"Peyton, thats not Tom's house, its mine."

Very good, which brings up something we maybe should consider. I think we
need 2 seperate categories for QBs - one for great SB QBs, and one for just
great NFL QBs. Some QBs belong in both groups - John Elway for sure.
Others only belong in one of the 2 groups - Peyton Manning, Tom Brady.

Actually I have to take issue with that. For Brady, in order to become a "great SB QB", he must first get to the Super Bowl. The last two playoff games show that not only is he an all-weather, or inclement-weather QB, he is a QB that can go into another team's house and perform well, against the #1 rated defense, I might add. He's been doing this for 4 years now.

Then you have Mr. Peyton Manning, who got on a tear and broke Dan Marino's single season TD record, helped along by playing indoors on a fast rug.

Tom Brady - he is a great NFL quarterback, who to some are being reminded of Joe Montana.

As for Peyton Manning, he's just another Dan Marino. :thumbdown
