BLOOM GETS BUFF

Although former Colorado receiver/kick returner Jeremy Bloom opted not to run the 40-yard dash at his pro day workout on Saturday, Bloom got the attention of the scouts in attendance by tipping the scales at 184 pounds, up from 173 pounds at the scouting combine in February.

Bloom also bench-pressed 225 pounds 19 times on Saturday. In contrast, Iowa linebacker Chad Greenway, who goes 242 pounds and is regarded as a first-round prospect, managed only 16 reps at 225 at the combine -- three less than Bloom.

The workout in Los Angeles drew scouts from all 32 teams. Bloom also ran routes, caught passes, and fielded punts.

Bloom is expected to be taken in the fourth round of the draft. His perceived potential, and the success of undersized receivers like Santana Moss and Steve Smith, could prompt someone to take a chance on him at the end of the first day.

Vernon Davis is known as a phreak of nature. He's the first TE to have a recorded 4.3 40. He's still getting back into football shape (he was a skiier or something at the olympics.)

He did the moguls. Finished 6th. You might want to change the title of this post because in your first message Davis isn't mentioned once.
