Big 12 Championship game

Now you see why Kubes had Schaub just center the ball for the field goal attempt. You never know what's going to happen.

Game's gonna be better than y'all think.

I hope Nebraska does the Big 12 proud in their Bowl Game. Really I want them to get to the Cotton and humiliate LSU.

Screw this SEC uber alles crap.

Thank you TCU, Cincy and Boise St for a fine season but someone has to get screwd it is the BCS way!

Great game.

It's so uncommon to see two great defenses really take over a game at the college level, especially in a big time championship game.

Suh for Heisman. :wild:

well at least McCoy won't win the heisman, he played awful

Yeah. Though I'm sure he'll be ok with that, because they squeaked into the title game.

Suh made a statement for sure as well as Ingram today. Though I admit I'd be upset if Ingram won because they wouldn't give it to Peterson as a sophomore even though he was clearly the best player in the land.

I'll be really disappointed if they give the Heisman to Colt McCoy. I think there are several more deserving athletes.

Texas better step it up, because Alabama looked good today and I thought they had a mediocre offense this year

Suh will be the #1 pick. I guess he'll be a Cleveland Brown.

Alabama will destroy Texas.

Suh deserves the Heisman. Not Ingram or McCoy.

Nebraska played a great defensive game. Too bad for them they choked at the end.

With that said, BRING ON ALABAMA BITCHES!!!

That was some godawful clock management there for the last minute 30.

Colt runs around and sacks himself, takes almost ALL the time off the clock - never uses any timeouts though they had one - ALMOST RUNS THE GAME OUT OF TIME :francis:

And you know, 46 yard FGs are gimme's. HOLY CRAP. Horns are SOOO lucky!!!

great game by the Horns D and great clutch kick for Hunter Lawrence. Can we just go ahead and draft that guy for the Texans?

As for the TCU deserves to be in the NC game stuff...it may not sound as bad as it did this morning, but Texas went out and won every game they played after starting the season ranked #2. Sorry TCU but Texas earned this invitation...no doubt about it.

fwiw - Colt almost became one of the biggest choke job artists in history with that last play from scrimmage. I don't know what the hell he was doing and were lucky they didn't hose us.

oh and Herbstreet and Musburger can both go screw themselves. They were blatantly homering for Nebraska probably because Texas punked both their favorite schools when it counted (OSU in 06 and Michigan in 05) Herbstreet really sucks.

Respect to Pellini and Nebraska. I knew it was going to be tough but didn't know it was going to be that tough. Helluva gameplan and that Defensive Tackle they have in Suh is something special. Too bad we have won too many meaningless games or the Texans could have him on their DL next year.

Pride to the State of Texas....lets whoop up on ole Alabama

Why, because they gave up 44 points?

I know right. It's funny listening to these people talk about Cincy...their defense sucks. They have to pretty much outscore teams week in and week out.

TCU...I can hear that argument, because they're one of the most well rounded teams in the country.

Oh well, Texas won so people are going to have to get over it (isn't that what Texas fans were all told after the 45-35 tie breaker screw job last season?) Hats off to the Huskers, one of the most dominant defensive performances I've ever seen.......lead by the most dominant defensive player that I HAVE EVER SEEN. Suh is a beast.

I wonder why ESPN didnt do a huge cover issue on Suh for the Heisman like they did Dorsey a few years ago.

I figured some would cheer for Colt to win ...if the longhorns win the NC then it would erase some luster of VY

:bubbles:

Ndamukong is hard to spell

but Suh has had as dominant a season as any DT ever. one of the most dominant defensive players in college football history, honestly. i hope he makes an appearance in New York at the very least.

here SHOULD be your finalists:
1. Suh
2. Spiller
3. Ingram
4. Gerhart

Yeah, but they had a non-Heisman contender QB that didn't SUCK all night. C'mon, be honest here. If the Nebraska defender had actually not taken that last step toward Colt (forcing the throw), the clock WOULD have run out due to him not being game aware enough to throw the ball early, rather than slow rolling with 5 sec. to go. Yep, that's a true Heisman contender there boys!

TCU is going to get screwed. Watch next week every Congressman from the DFW area will be screaming for hearings.

Nope, two words......

SEC BIAS!

If SUH played in the SEC, they would learn how to spell/pronounce his name and would've been all over his nuts.

Kirkendoll makes that catch and goes the distance would have been great for my nerves tonight

of topic, but geeze I wish the NCAA would get rid of that stupid rule about being down if your knees hit the ground even if you aren't touched

OMG....Bama is going to treat Texas the way Thunderc**k in prison treats his new roommate.

It really won't be pretty...but that's just IMO.

I'm kind of pulling for Texas only so maybe some of the n*t guzzling VY fans back off.

But at the same time, those same n*t guzzling VY fans piss me off so much and now I have to worry about the Texans NOT being on TV again here in Austin....I may just take more pleasure in seeing Bama annihilate the Longhorns.

Bama' looks really good and Greg McElroy looked even better! Texas has its hands full and after barely scraping by, if I were Mack Brown I'd be worried. I can already imagine Mount Cody squashing Colt for a sack...ouch!

Yeah Hunter Lawrence kicked a Vinatieri-like clutch FG so it's only natural that everyone will talk about that play, but the play of the game, the play that saved UT's season was not the kick.

No, it was Hunter Lawrence tackling the punt returner on that long return in the fourth quarter. Were it not for Lawrence almost pile-driving that dude, he would've scored a TD instead of getting tackled at the ten. Texas D stepped up and forced a three-and-FG.

That was the difference in the game.

Why is nobody talking about that play?

because any half-decent team would've scored anyway on the drive anyway. Nebraska's offense is so inept they didn't gain a single yard after that.
