I was going to just chuckle and observe this thread from afar, but then you had to drop this gem of a post.
How has Matt Schaub played better than Carson Palmer this year?
Carson Palmer led last minute wins against all 3 of our division foes in a row, 2 of them having top 10 defenses in the league.
Carson Palmer has an offensive line that is blocking for the NFL's leading rusher as of now.
Carson Palmer has JUST AS MANY/MORE weapons as Matt Schaub, PLUS he has a better arm and more experience winning in the clutch.
Matt Schaub has played nice...against two teams that HAVE NOT WON ANY GAMES.
And honestly, I'm not really worried about this game. Our defense held Flacco and his offense without a touchdown until the 4th quarter. You may score a TD or FG more than them, but your defense is NO WHERE NEAR THEIRS, and it will not be as hard for us to score on you as it was for them.
And to whoever was talking down on Cedric Benson...the Ravens hadn't given up over 100 yards to a running back in 39 games...

Here's the deal with the Bengals.com board: there are several subforums on the site, and rival fans are allowed to post in any of the ones that they like. The only one that they can't post in is Jungle Noise, which is a forum for Bengals fans only.
I don't like the rule, personally, because I've been active on boards where rival fans and the home team crowd get along just fine in any forum. I'm not sure what the story is behind it, but there's a really easy way around it, and I don't know why it hasn't been implemented already.
Just have a little select box at registration that asks what a new user's favorite team is. If they select the Bengals, they can read and post, and if they select any other team, those fans can read but not respond within the forum.
What a lot of the Steelers fans do is they post links to threads in Jungle Noise in the Smack Talk forum, and that creates a new conversation.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience over there, but when you're looking at the forum index, it does say that Jungle Noise is for Bengals fans only. The mod that banned you was obliged to do so.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I've never seen a board where they completely blocked a member from posting in a forum just because he/she was a fan of a different team. Sounds like the mods over there are too sensitive.

The only good defensive team we've faced is the Jets and schaub was terrible

Wow, we beat the Cardinals? That is breaking news, I guess we are 3-2 then.
And the Browns took you to overtime, and the Bengals won by a "field goal". Any team can beat any other team any given Sunday. I have given credit where it is due and most here have said they are playing pretty good ball and a suprising turn around but before you get too high in the saddle let's see how the rest of the season plays out, this Sunday included.
It really depends on which Texans team shows up, we could get blown out or we could go off, and the Texans are dangerous when their back is against the wall.

We have only played 1 team without any wins....the Titans, a team that is better than most 1 win teams...

Not all fans want to talk smack. There are a lot of us that just enjoy talking about football.
I must say, I've been to practically every team's MB and have probably joined more than half of them, but this is the first I've heard of a board doing something like that. That tells me 1 of 2 things. (1) The mods are spineless puh C's that don't like to get their widdle feelings hurt, or (2) the board's entirely too stupid to talk actual football in a football section so they ban the fans of their opponents in order to enjoy giving each other verbal reach-arounds.

I make no excuses for a lot of the fans in the stadium, is it a wonder we have a jerk line. Thats why I think its stupid for fan bases to attack a team based on their fans. The team has nothing to do with how the fan base acts, and can't control it.

I can't remember the name of the bar, but it was within walking distance of the round hotel (i think it was the Radisson) in Covington. A good friend of mine from Shreveport used to work for the owner. He took really good care of us!! Our money was no good.
