YaaaaHOOOOO! DieHard is BACK!! NOW we are ready to start the season!

Texans 17 (don't have to much faith in Ragone) Banks will get the TDs
Girls 10 (have even less faith in Henson :hehe: ) Testie will get one TD before Babin lays him OUT!! :headbang:

24-crackboys
13- Texans

Parcells will have to play his QB's longer to see who the starter really is going to be. For some reason Parcells also plays his starters longer in the preseason games, guess he thinks they do mean something as far as winning or losing.

I prefer the Texans method of evaluating the final cuts by matching them against the opposition.

Each QB will play a 11/2 qts. So

Cowboys-24
Texans- 17

I don't know, and I don't really care about this glorified scrimmage with the crackboys, but to venture a guess..
I'll say we give them a 29-10 smackdown on Saturday.

Last year the starters for Dallas played over one half of the game. They had to prove to thier fans that they could actually beat the Texans. The Texans played thier starters for exactly one quarter.

I feel this will happen again and the Cowgirls will take another meaningless game 20-10 but will risk injury to players and be called out for the brainless antics they always pull.

Cowboys 21, Texans 14. I don't really care either way about the score, but am excited about seening how my 1st and 2nd favorite team members look in this first preseason, especially the rookies.

David Carr will probably play about 10 plays (per Casserly). That's enough time for the offense to take one to the house. Texans 20 Colaboys 9

OK let's see Texans work out in heat and humidity, Cowgirls put lace on their undies and play in 70's degree no humidity cereal state (fruits, flakes and nuts)

Cowgirls win another meaningless preseason game,(NOTE to Cowgirls fans..NFL doesn't keep records of who won preseason games and scoring a lot of points in preseason means about as much as a date with your sister)

NFL only keeps records of games that matter

Sept 8, 2002 Reliant Stadium (STILL only retractable roof stadium in NFL)

]
Dallas players talk noise on "Hard Knocks" on HBO, Fans trash talk on internet

Final

Texans 19
Cowgirls 10

ohhhhhhh we have this record

1 win no losses vs Cowgirls

their record

0 wins 1 loss vs Texans

come see us in 2006...WHEN IT REALLY MATTERS

all that said considering Parcells wants to so bad he will play 1st team D most of game to win a meaningless game so fans won't realize wheels are of bus and it is about to crash.

I hope we win just so Parcells the paranoid can say we let them win

I resemble that remark about California. Lived there for a few years and as far as beauty goes it's as beautiful a place as you would want to live.

And seeing how most of the people that live there have moved there....well...that might explain the "reputation" the state has.

And any state with the Terminator as Governor ain't that bad...

I wrote "resemble" on purpose...haven't you ever heard the expression "I resemble that remark"?

It's old, I'm old...maybe you're not old enough to have ever heard it.

I think Groucho said it. Know who he is? No brain fart...not today anyway.

I know the Marx brothers, but I don't recall the resemble bit. There was Groucho, the guy with the horn, and one more right? True enough that I am not old enough to remember their act, but I do remember the 3 Stooges :) Larry, Moe, and Curly. Schemp (sp?) doesn't count.

Well I'm not THAT old but I watched the Marx Bros. when I was a kid and if they're on now I'll watch. They're classic and their movies are still funny.

Harpo was the one with the horn and he never spoke in the movies but he was funny with no dialogue...

As for the Stooges...I watched them too and as far as Stooges go Curly was the best forever and ever. Shemp was funny too but no Curly.

Are you a psychic? Now that you've shared on how Parcells thinks, help me out. Serious, I need your help! I'm thinking about going to the casino tonight, do you think it's a good idea. Please reply soon! :thumbup

Two things I know: Shemp was no Curly and the Cowboys are going to lose....again.

Texans 19 - Cowboys 16

Texans 17 Cowgirls 14

Kris Brown kick in the 3rd puts us over the top as nobody scores in the 4th

Predicting pre-season games is like predicting Hurricanes, but my gut instinct tells me the Tuna is more intersted in winning....however, I'll go with the hometown gang 16 - 13

That's some funny stuff. They didn't have to prove anything.

Just like last year we have to play our QB's a lot to get them ready. Our starter is new and our back up hasn't played in 3 years. It will not be the same as last year with the D. I look for them to play 2 or 3 series.

Congratulations on your 1-0 record for the boys.

But I prefer to talk about the Five Superbowl victories.

OK enough smack talk. I really do wish the Texans and the Boys played yearly.

That would make for a great rivalry.

Here is to no one getting hurt this Saturday.

Peace.

WHY? It's only pre season, meaning practice. The outcome should not matter other than avoiding injury's & preparing for the REAL season. idonno:
Because the NFL sells the game as if it's a real game, not an exhibition. Check your ticket...it's the same price as the Charger ticket on opening day. A certain % of fans come strictly to see a football game, it may be the only game they see this season. Give the NFL credit for not pulling a MLB and calling a game early because they're tired of playing.

Oh...Texans 23, Girls 10. That absurd collection of QBs they have in Dallas can't move the ball on anyone. I'm calling it now, Dunta picks off Henson and takes it the distance. :)

I agree, the hatred for the Cowboys on this board is unreal...ofcourse that is what builds a great rivalry.

My prediction is Dallas:21, Houston:10

In all seriousness though, I really look forward to seeing both teams play. Especially the Texans since I think it's safe to say they can be true contenders this year. They have the talent, they just have to build on it...these next couple of years should be real exciting for Houston football as the team continues to progress. I hope to see that Carr has come along even further over the off season. I also cant wait to watch Babin and Dunta Robinson. And then theres Andre Johnson, this guy is just fun to watch. I wish Domanick was playing in the game though, I've never seen anyone who can keep their feet chugging at 90mph like he does.

As for the Cowboys, I cant wait to see how Henson performs under pressure. Let's see if he reallly has solid accuracy in the game like they say he does in practice. I also cant wait to see Julius Jones run the ball some...Eddie George will be a treat to watch also. And then theres Tony Dixon and Roy Williams. Tony has to step up tonight, there is no doubt about that. And as for Roy, he's arguably becoming one of the greatest safeties in the league...I hope he brings it and pounds a few people around.

i hate the cowboys because

A) their qb last year who got so much praise for his godly efforts was on crack

B) they bring in a runningback from my most hated team that avgs a whopping 2.8 ypc and expects 4 mil. a year

C) Parcells runs the team, and to tell you the truth, i think hes a crossdresser.

D) They're from Dallas

E) and I hate Dallas

that is why i hate the cowboys

Just wait till we play the Jags. Then you'll see the hatred come out of an intense rivalry.

texansfan, what's ironic is there are many diehard Cowboys fans (myself included) who are still supportive of the Texans and are excited about that franchise. But being a Texan I take pride in every Texas sports team. I like the Mavericks more than the Spurs or Rockets but when they get to the playoffs or finals I root for them. I like the Rangers more than the Astros but when Houston picked up Clemens and Pettite this year I was really hoping to see the team do well..and was actually looking more foward to seeing the Astros play than the Rangers. So liking the Texans more than the Cowboys I can completely understand, If I were from the Houston area I would jump on the bandwagon...however despising them the way ya do is insane. Especially for all the Superbowl titles they brought back to Texas. I may always be a diehard Cowboys fan but Im hoping just as much of the rest of you to see the Texans in the Superbowl. It would be even more awesome to see the Cowboys and the Texans in the Superbowl, hopefully one day.

And about the jags, I hate them also. I watched them play Houston lastyear and they take poor sportsmanship to another level. For instance hitting the Texans punt returner on a "fair catch". When I saw that, it almost made me as mad as when T.O. acted like an *** on the Star at Texas Stadium.

I moved to little D about a year ago so im constantly arguing with cowboys fans. I do like Parcells though, hes a funny guy and doesnt take **** from any players. As far as Carter goes, his drug use had little to do with his release, they were just looking for a reason and he gave them one. He was gone the day they signed Vinny and Hensen. As for the game tonight I hope the Texans win, because I have a 12 pack riding on this game in a bet I made with my sisters boyfriend to make the game more interesting. So if we win tonight I'll be drinking plenty of victory beers.

I'm a big NFL fan in general and I have no "hatred" of any team, city, or fan following. Afterall we are all doing the same thing. Rooting for our home team (for the most part). In all honesty, I kinda like the Cowboys and follow the NFC thru them. I can't think of anything I'd love to see more than an all-Texas Super Bowl.
