that's what its all about. I really like the comments I'm hearing from training camp. You have Glenn taking Robinson under his wing and Wong is likewise doing the same for Babin. Apparently they are all working long and hard and putting in overtime. They all seem to have an excellent work ethic. I continue to hear comments that suggest a very close knit group of guys. The coaches seem to be implying confidence and certainly some of the players are high on what we might do this year. We are still hearing about a lot of problems with others team's players and it certainly seems to be quiet in Houston. I like that. Our players seem to be more interested in charities and that speaks volumes about the team. The TE situation continues to be a problem, but other than that we are looking real good. It would be nice to see a group of nice guys win it all.

I like the hard work from the draft picks:

Rather than dwell on the catches that weren't and the Texans' 5-11 season that was in 2003, [Andre] Johnson left for home in South Florida this offseason intent on making himself better.

At least three days a week, Johnson would stand point-blank in front of a machine that fires footballs like Roger Clemens fastballs. One hundred times per session, sometimes more, although he said he never bothered to count.

His hands would begin to ache, but he learned to deal with it — something he'll need to catch David Carr's passes.

McNair, Casserly, and Capers have done a great job putting together a team that the city of Houston can be proud of. It seems that everyone they bring in has a good work ethic and a personality that fits in with a team-first concept.

i like what i hear about how andre wants to get better. i say torry holt doing the samething during a halftime thing on monday night football, hopefully it works just as good for andre as it does for torry.
