Yous guys are something else.
Why thank you.Yous guys are something else.
Yep. Only yankees use that term.another furriner?
This just about perfectly explains how I feel. I could care less what any athlete or musician says about anything that is not directly related to their craft. If it gets too loud, I'll actively seek other forms of entertainment, otherwise it doesn't matter to me what they legally do. They can protest the police shootings however they choose, makes no difference to me. People are disrespectful in all kinds of ways and the best way to deal with them is to ignore them.
I agree that police brutality of all sorts needs to be looked at and addressed and so I suppose I agree with the basis of the player's reasoning for being disrespectful during the anthem. I can't say for sure though because I actively avoid the topic, I'll change sports radio if they start talking about non-sports.
This thing is getting too loud and it's a media issue, not the players. The players have made the anthem their medium and they answer questions when asked, but ESPN inserts it far too often in their programming. I came home for lunch last Monday and all four ESPN channels were talking about it. I just wanted to hear Herm's take on a couple of the games, but you can't tune in to ESPN anymore if all you want is sports talk.
Well, maybe we need to be proactive about it. The only way that they stop disrespecting the flag...errrr...protesting is when they have nothing to protest.
So do what I did. Call the mayor's office and tell them that, as a concerned citizen, you'd like them to stop shooting black folks.
Mayor Sylvester Turner - Telephone: 713.837.0311 - email: sylvester.turner@houstontx.gov
I had to leave a voice mail, but I'm certain someone will listen to it and take it to the mayor to make it an official policy.![]()
I'd like them to stop shooting white folks too... as well as brown, yellow, red & blue
Hey now, there's no protest going on about shooting white, brown, yellow, and blue folks. They need to get their own protests going instead of squeezing in on this one. Although, I'd really hate to see one of the dudes from the Blue Man Group get shot. I really enjoy their shows.
I see you left out the red man... dang, the redman still gets no respect!![]()

Early word on #Dolphins RB Arian Foster is it's just a groin strain. Iffy for Sunday but probably won't miss more than 1-2 games.
Just the beginning of the season and he's already been on both Injury Reports with a hamstring and a groin strain. He's already had a sports hernia repair last preseason........another could be in Foster's future.
Currently trading him in fantasy.
That's dude was great for a few years. Still best RB texans have ever seen

Isn't it a hamstring injury? He has dealt with those for years, which makes me think it's not entirely minor. It's a lingering problem.Ian Rapoport Verified account @RapSheet
Asked why former #Dolphins RB Arian Foster is retiring, it’s because his heart couldn’t take another rehab, even for a minor injury. Wow.
No doubt. Arian carried the Texans on his back for all of our playoff wins. He rushed for over 100 in just about every playoff game. That's dude was great for a few years. Still best RB texans have ever seen
The moment Arian made it big time.
The important thing is he had the patience and the vision to know those holes would develop (unlike Blue) and the speed to exploit themman he had some huge holes to run through
