That we got the Texans and Nashville has the Fireballs. bottomline Bud is doing to them now what he did to us and our beloved old Oilers. Looks like we could be next to last this year and still be above them. Good riddance.

I'm not so cynical, he had a superbowl contending team and he kept the core of the team together as long as possible because they felt they had a superbowl contending team. Now they are finally paying that price and forced to go through a rebuiding phase, but most teams except those with excellent front offices, not owners are the ones that are able to reload at a much quicker pace. Not even mentioning the amount of luck that also plays a factor.

I think that within the next 10 years we will probably go through at least 1 rebuilding period, it happens to most pro sports teams from time to time, this is a down time for them.

What sux for us is that Floyd Reese (titans GM) is one of the best @ rebuilding and that team never really sux for an extended period of time. :crying:

Yeah. But he has to deal with old "Bottom line Bud." That's enough to give anyone ulcers. I wish nothing but the worse for them. texanpride
 
I'm no big Bud booster but the Titans have done very well in Nashville. The team went to a Super Bowl, have contended other years and like the other poster said EVERY team has to rebuild at some point.

I've always thought Coach Fisher was one of the best. We'll see what he can do with them this year. And I'll always be a McNair fan.

He's been their GM for a long long time. Bud likes to win and doesn't really hold back much ($$$$) when it comes to winning. Just take a look at how much salary they're dumping. They aren't trying to save $$, they're rebuilding. And they think they won't have a successful stretch of seasons with the contracts their carrying right now. They wouldn't be doing that if Bud hadn't spent the money/signed the contracts.
Bottom line, Bud and Reese have been together long enough to know what it takes to win. Lucky for us they are going thru this right now. The 2 games each year play them should be easy....for now.

With all due respect, Big B...but Bud Adams is a scum bag! It's all of the extra controversy that he drums up. If you havn't figured it out... I just don't like the guy. :twocents:

But seriously, I'm not a fan of his by any stretch of the imagination. I mean, dude took our team to another city! Nothing can excuse him for that, especially in light of the fact that he could've gotten a new stadium deal (eventually), if he had been patient. He'll always be a big, fat jerk to the city of Houston for that move (the SB Titans should have been our SB Oilers!)

Agreed. Bud Adams was a pimple on Houston's armpit. Glad he's somebody else's pimple now. I've said it before, I'll say it again: The Texans will win a Super Bowl before any Bud Adams team does....Good riddance.
