My first reaction was, where's the phone and my visa card number. This will not stand. Then I thought about it and having a hoss on defense sounds pretty good. Can't lose situation? I think they balanced the almighty and the talent when coming up with this pick. But hey, having a freaking hoss on defense sounds pretty good. I'm cool either way. How bout you?

ROFL We need a pass rush we don't need to draft another running back.. If he became another Tony Hollings. We would be the laughing stock of the league.

Well at the moment we're in just as much peril of becoming the laughing stock of the league for passing on Bush to take Mario "Hope he doesn't turn into Mile Mamula" Williams.

Williams had three great games and a hell of a workout. If he busts I'm going to be posting about it until the end of friggin time.

OH MY GOD. Yeah...Lets put this guy next that other #1 pick Travis Johnson. that worked out great, didn't it. Teams will have to game plan to go against whoever has Reggie Bush. You think they will be game planning to run away from this guy? HELL NO. This is a horse***** pick. Look for another 2 win season. Don't know about you guys, but if this IS the pick, my tickets will be sold. I AM NOT GOING TO SIT THROUGH ANOTHER ANEMIC OFFENSIVE SEASON.

He's just so dang big and well I don't know if that really works on the edge. Isn't Freeny a smallish speedster? Anyway this a huge shock and the fact that Casserly is involved only heightens the anxiety level. This is going to something tomorrow at draft day. If Reggie Bush uses this as motivation and becomes the second coming of Gayle Sayers I'm going to be rather ill. I was so looking forward to offensive explosiveness next year. Defense wins but jeez maneez this guy Williams is such a risk at 1. I guess everyone is a risk at 1 but we had freaking Reggie Bush locked up. Crazy man.

He better be a S-T-U-D

I can't believe they are going to pass on Bush

Ditto. He is a workout warrier. Mike Mamula definetely comes to mind. He looks the part and has fantastic measurables, but it's a HUGE stretch to think this is the next Reggie White or Bruce Smith. Unless he is in that class, this is a blown pick. Sadly for him, he can be merely "very good", and it will still be a blown pick. Watch what Bush does for whomeever drafts him, and then imagine him playing in Reliant Stadium every Sunday, then do a lot of this. :crying:

Honestly, I haven't seen Mario play in college. So i'm not going to pretend to know something about him that I know I don't. I watch a ton of college ball. I'm blown away. I don't know what to say. B*******!

With Reggie, I figured we would avg 30pts/game...... with out him, I figure 28..... I think we'll be fine, as long as Mario does his job, and send PBuchanon to the ProBowl.

Get the Quarterback...... then you don't have to worry about Bush...... if you can do that with the front four, like we'll be able to do....

I think we'll be okay.

I mean as long as that QB isn't Vince Young.

I hate the fact that the management of this team is continually making mistakes in the draft, epecially on defense. Travis Johnson and Jason babin come to mind. Now, they waste a #1 Overall by not taking the Best Available Player. what the Hell is that? Again, I am NOT going to waste my Sundays driving 2 hours each way to see an anemic offense and watch David Carr run for his life. I hate that they did not upgrade the offensive line, and they did not give the offense any help with this pick. If they were going to pass on Bush, then I would have preferred to see them take Ferguson.

Again, who the hell is this Travis Taylor you speak of?

You're not much of a fan if you don't even know the players if you ask me.

Where's Marshall Faulk been the last couple of years?? the last 3?? the last 2??

eeeeeeehhhhhhh....... yeah, that's what I thought.

BUsh is compared to Barry Sanders... And he took the anemic Lions to How many Super bowls ????? NONE

Williams is compared to peppers.

Peppers went to the Panther who were ironically 2 -14 the year before.

Let see the Panthers have appeared in 1 superbowl, been in the playoffs the last 3 years..

Hmm astounding... If both pan out we still made the better choice.

Sorry...Travis Johnson. See, just proves that as a first rounder, he waasn't enough of a presence to elicit a memory of his correct name. Hehe

i don't think there's any doubt that this is in the best interest of the texans. yeah, bush could be great, and he would make a great face for the organization, but RB really wasn't a real big need.

any other year with no bush, would the texans have counted RB as one of their top three needs? i don't think so.

congrats to casserly on making the right call here.

Are you saying you expected this? Hahahaha. Man.

I tell you it looks good if the guy has 2 years like Peppers. But man oh man we do like our sizzle darnit!

Maybe not...But offensive help sure is a big need.

And we havent addressed that at all this offseason...

Yea Putzier, Moulds, Flanagan, Moving McKinney to Guard... not to mention a new offense all together will do nothing for us.. I forgot Only Reggie bush can turn our offense around and make us a contender.

You add 1 guy and now all of the sudden that ridiculous defense is going to get it done? Get the QB? Come on... For the most part, same guys as last year.

This is a new low in a franchise history filled with abysmal lows.....Nice. Really effing nice...

Thank God, I have the Longhorns to watch this Fall....
