Are the Indy Colts now the best team in the AFC South ?

Of course they are. I saw it coming last year.

But heads were buried in the sand all around.

Realizing the Colts are the best team in the division is just as real as understanding Case Keenum is our best option at quarterback. Both are true but most don't want to admit it.

Yes they are. The Colts rebuilt while the Texans were taking baby steps - baby steps that are ending in falling down.
The Colts got the first pick of the 2012 draft and made the obvious choice
that virtually any team would have made with the top pick in last years Draft. That's all they did, nothing more. So if you want to congratulate them, do so only for compliling the worst record in the NFL in 2011.

the best qb in the division usually wins the division.

it took a lot of guts for the colts to get rid of peyton and they are now reaping the benefits of that bold move.

our coach cant even be bothered to make a qb change when his aging, immobile, mentally defeated qb with a weak arm is breaking interception records and sapping the life of our team while two promising young qbs sit on the bench.

So:
Eight years of hard work in the Kubiak regime < one draft pick by the Colts.

I guess that makes my point too.

Unless Matt Schaub wins the division 2 years in a row right?

Who was he competing with those years?

2011
Indy - Painter / Orlovsky
Ten - 36 yr old Hasselbeck
Jax - Gabbert

- He was probably the best QB. Hasselbeck was close, but the rosters around them aren't comparable.

2012
Indy - Rookie Andrew Luck
Ten - Locker
Jax - Gabbert / Henne

- Luck was the more talented QB last year, but Indy was in complete rebuild and we have a roster stacked with pro-bowlers (they still almost caught us fwiw).

Eight years of hard work in any regime would be trumped by the incredibly
fortuitous opportunity to draft an Andy Luck.

Lots of good young qb's around the league (Colt's aren't alone). You just can't find one in Houston.

That's not true . Here's their depth chart and while Luck was a huge piece , they made other moves .

Yes, and to be honest, the titans would've probably given them a run if Locker doesn't get hurt every other day.

*sigh, can't believe I just typed that

OMG I just thought of something. It's one thing to be in 3rd place this early in the season, but what if we are in 3rd place at the end of the season with a 500 or below record? That is NOT what I expect, but if it actually happens, all hell is going to break lose in Texan land.

Yes, it would in Texan land. But, it'd be status quo there at Reliant. We'll roll out the same ole stuff in 2014, Texans PR will boast another sellout season and fans will continue to take it up the poop chute

It's like friggin Groundhog Day around here

of course the Colts are better. This isn't the preseason so we have actual proof. Does anyone seriously think that anyone outside of Houston think that the Schaub led Texans are superior to the Luck led Colts?
Why do you have to bring logic and reason to this thread?
