Sad for the Miami Dophins... They dont even get to chat about games .



After much effort and discussion, the Miami Dolphins have decided to remove the Message Boards feature from MiamiDolphins.com. We can no longer effectively manage these fan forums and present a product that is fan friendly and promotes a family environment, both important qualities of our organization and goals of our web site.

The message boards have been a web site feature since the 2000 season, but we have encountered a wide range of problems. They include trolls, sexual innuendos, indecent language, personal attacks on posters, inappropriate topics, and others.

We have done our best to delete posts that violate our code of conduct and warn or ban the user who posted them upon their discovery. Unfortunately, the volume of problems is such that we feel like we can better use our time by creating and providing quality content that will keep fans like yourselves returning to MiamiDolphins.com.

We appreciate your support of the Miami Dolphins.

Didn't that happen awhile back? By the way, I hope we never lose ours either, but I doubt we will, we have one of the classiest nicest group of fans I have seen on a MB.

I think this board is set up right with many moderators. It's tough to be just a single moderator, but when you have a group of them it so much easier. So far so good.

Yup, the moderators are the key. Good bunch here and good fans also.

The Mods are good but one of the most important components is a good base of fans

We have a pretty large, consistent group that gets along with each other and the trolls that do happen to show up tend to go away pretty quickly

I don't think a MB could ask for better posters

I agree. Sometimes it gets testy here but never over the line.
