I’m basing it on how I feel about the situation. I feel like if anyone can get AB to straighten up it’s the Patriots. They’ve done it before with other players.

Anyway, it’s just my opinion.

That's a major upgrade over what they had at WR last yr. That's not even taking into account that Harry will be off of IR by week 8.

You just hate it that the Raiders allowed Brown to beat the system. Just like BOB did with Clowney.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing starting 2 years ago was orchestrated by Brown to get to FA quicker. Signing with the Patriots is just icing on the cake.

If he returns to the guy he used to be... I'll be thoroughly convinced he's smarter than he's let on the last couple of years.

I've never been against player movement, in any sport.

But what Brown's behavior was completely unacceptable. Especially toward Gruden and Mayock, who were about as accommodating as any management could be.

Nonetheless I think we can just put this one to bed. If you'd like to get a last word in then cool, but I don't really want to carry on with you tbh. Take care, dude.

He wouldn’t be the first person in the human race to change; or to game “the system”. Even, and especially those with personality disorders behave like that (manipulative and/or narcissistic) routinely. So your comment about him acting like other players, yes, I agree. He’s not like “other players”. But he is a hell of a talent and could make the Patriots even more dangerous.

Clearly you've been under a rock all off season.

Their defense is stacked with the best secondary and one of the best LB crews in the game. Their Defense will be top 3.

Their running game is stacked with chain movers to keep them on the field for fast or slow pace. Their WR's are deeper than any group in the league.

If Brady gets hurt their backup QB is doing pretty well. They'll still be really good.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

There are reports that indicate there is evidence via texts. Maybe you might wait until this plays out before ruling it a false claim. Doesn’t seem that surprising coming from Brown.

His erratic actions yes, but not these typical late claims way after the fact of the alleged incidents. Plus, the woman kept going back holding a relationship with him? She just smells blood and wants to bury the guy while the iron is hot. She's got good timing. I'll give her that.

According to the Patriots, the NFL has launched an investigation. Usually, players are put on the exempt list (not active but paid) while an investigation is underway.

Burying him at this particular time actually works against her. It would seem to me that she would've brought this about after he's got some of the 10 million hes due from the Pats. Coming out now puts all that money he could recieve from them in jeopardy. & this has been a long time coming for Brown. Only so many people you can do dirty before reality stops lining up with what you post on Instagram.

Only real question in my mind is the timing. Why wait until now?

Given his personality (and woeful slang in his texts), her claims aren't shocking at all.

I don't cow tow to lying women that don't even go to the police and sue for money way after the fact.

We've seen tons of athletes get falsely targeted for this and this one smells way more like HOAX based on timing, her attempts to extort money instead of prosecution, and right after he just got paid a lot of money.

If this was D. Hopkins in the same situation I have zero doubt that people would be saying the same thing I am about the facts of the accuser. But who am I kidding when some of you are on record saying women should always be believed no matter what the situation is and are perfectly fine having your rights taken away from you due to Male Guilt.

Honestly I can't wait for more of the Houston Texans to get into unfair troubles so I can bring back all these posts where people wanted grown men ruined based on accusations alone. You acting like he's guilty already without knowing him or her is pretty ridiculous.

And this would go down as another double standard towards a certain player based on the team he plays for and who he knows around the league.

The fact that Tyreek Hill just got zero suspension for the 2nd time after highly questionable things happened with him on accusations should make make this a zero chance for an suspensions especially when it can't even be proven and the police aren't even involved. But hey, you're always rooting for double standards for people so this wouldn't surprise me. You suggesting that he should be punished is clearly because he is black .

True, but that doesn't make him a rapist or a guy guilty of sexual assault.

Go back and look at the Derrick Rose case. Pretty similar and he was found not guilty, but had his name ruined by the press.

Metoo is very relevant, because it caused the worst "Beta Male infestation this country has ever seen with men all over the place getting on their hands and knees and begging to give their rights away by accepting guilt of every other male that is accused of rape in all these cases that go back years and decades even. Just 10 years ago the average American male would have been totally against this type of false indictment of the facts involving all of these witch hunt cases. The Kavanaugh Trial showed the whole world just how slippery this slope is now where you have men all over the place wanting to see women getting away with false rape allegations. You don't ever hear the same guys wanting these women prosecuted. Where was the thread after Derrick Rose's case was finished? Nada.

None of my family members have a reputation like this dude has garnered in the last 2-3 years, so no i wouldn't feel the same way.

I could also care less if he's guilty or not....Fact is, rape isn't too far of aa stretch for this guy at this point.

What are you talking about? You sound unhinged. I made no statement for or against either party in this case, I have little information on it, and I'm waiting for evidence to be reported. You are the one going off on this woman as if you know she's a liar and only doing this for personal gain. It's amazing how you can't see the hypocrisy in your own posts while complaining about those who think he may have done it. You're the doing exactly the same thing as those that you seem to hate.

The only thing I have seen on this case is a snapshot of the alleged email he sent to the woman about his wank and skeet. It might be real, but it could be made up, I'll wait to hear more about it before spouting off either way. You may want to do the same.

This is 100% accurate. I wanted that too. The NFL had every right to suspend him when he got racist on his own GM in front of the team, and what did they do? They didn't do squat. Imagine if Derek Carr called a black HC the N word? He wouldn't be playing another game this season most likely or ever possibly.

If the league didn't find any of his behavior suspendible on the Steelers or the Raiders this past off season, then I fail to see how an accusation for a pay day would matter now unless its just because he plays for the Patriots now. (I know you didn't say that, but I was just saying in general. I agree with your initial thoughts on him.

WTF does the Sharper case have to do with anything? It has zero relevance, and he was punished like he should have been. They knew for a fact that he did the things he did.

Tyreek Hill was not punished at all, and there was zero outrage from you.

Brown acting like a total jackass to two teams doesn't make him a rapist anymore than it made tons of others guilty. What we do know is that women target the **** out of these guys knowing they'll quickly settle most of the time just to make these things go away. You're wanting people punished based on the teams they play for clearly because you aren't attaching the same standards across the board to all players.

Tolerance of AB reminds me of the hot/crazy matrix for women. They will tolerate (and often forgive) players because of elite talent, much in the same way men will put up with a lot of crap from a hot woman.

All anyone is saying is it wouldn’t surprise at all if these accusations turned out to have some legs given this dudes behavior over the last 2-3 years.

And the Daren Sharper case is VERY relevant b/c they too originated from allegations from several of his victims 1st. & it was only with the corroboration of the POS that helped him do it & a mountain of largely circumstantial evidence and an emerging pattern that his ass was eventually arrested & convicted. Regardless, up until the story actually broke, no one had any reason at all to suspect he was doing anything remotely close to what he was eventually convicted of. Dude had a sterling rep, was revered in NO & was getting 6 figures checks cut to him from the NFL network to boot. Don't remember you in here banging your drum for him then.

I've banged my drum for a lot of players that were unfairly punished Ray Rice being one of the main ones. I also did the same for Adrian Peterson, Ben, Brady and several others who had the NFL impose an unfair punishment based on an accusation alone or some other bizarre form of the NFL's version of "associated guilt."

I'm not saying that its impossible that he could have ever sexually assaulted someone or even raped someone before. He could next week for all I know. I'm damn sure not going to believe some woman about a story that happened around two years ago where she didn't even go to the police and instead went back to him. I'm certainly not going to believe a woman that is filing for a pay off instead of doing everything possible to put her rapist behind bars. And the NFL just let Hill off under similar circumstances with an accusation and a phone call, but he got off just fine. Why would Brown get punished one month later without a long thorough investigation by the police?

I think its well documented in the literature that rape victims don't always act rationally so you can't rely on that line of thought. Its also important to note that the suit she filed is civil, not criminal so she's not trying to send him to jail. Looks as if she's trying to recoup something. She's about to get married really soon & her "going back to him" was probably her attempt to try to handle this out of the public eye due to embarrassment or whatever...her mistake was in thinking she's dealing with an adult/man when she wasn't. But he's such an a-hole that he couldn't even do that. Regardless, his texts/emails or whatever this dude sent to her speaks to something untoward he did to her & imo shows that this isn't a case of her trying to get a payoff. Just like its common for these guys to get targeted due to their status, its also common that these guys take advantage of girls/women for the same reason.

I didn't say anything either way dude, you're the one who's made up his mind about the situation and can't control yourself. You're trying to take this to NSZ places, and I'm not falling for that bait.

You don't know these people, you don't know what happened, just let it play out and wait for some solid evidence before spouting off on the subject. Everyone is guaranteed Due Process in this country, both the plaintiff and the defendant, and each of them will get their chance to tell their story for the authorities to sort out. Just let it go and follow the story, unless of course you hate the Constitution and the 14th amendment.
 
I don't know anything about what's currently going on with Antonio Brown and his purported "rape spree". All I know is that this guy has been a super talented dumpster fire for a long, long time (like "Cats" on broadway it feels like) and when I heard these allegations my first thought was...

"That's a mighty convenient way for the NFL to throw one of its biggest "problem children" down a very dark hole for a year or so and take a toy away from the Patriots without so much as a hearing".

He'll hit that commissioners list thing they have and have to apply for reinstatement next year or something like that. In the months between he'll do some more look at me crazy stuff and maybe wreck a car. The usual bit. Makes you long for the good old days with Terrell Owens just shaking pom-poms and whipping out a Sharpie to autograph a football. The turds making millions playing this game are one of the many reasons I stopped watching it. Note: I don't have any idea whether he did this or not. He was a turd long before these allegations came up. The way he's behaved on two different teams is enough for me to say "Enjoy dealing with Goodell. You've earned it"
