Annual early 09 draft prospect's

Draftable players from Florida State that I should mention before the season starts:

Senior WR Greg Carr, 6-6 210 lbs, 2,032 receiving yards w/ 18.65 yards per catch, and 25 TDs over his career (3 years at FSU).

Senior MLB Derek Nicholson, 99 tackles 8 TFL and 1 FF last year.

Senior Punter Graham Gano, the guy can really punt.

Junior(RS) DE Everette Brown, 64 tackles, 25 TFL, 9.5 sacks, 1 FF, and 1 blocked kick over the last 2 years. This guy will be a force next year.

Junior WR Preston Parker, 791 yards and 4 TDs receiving last year, also added 270 yards rushing @ 5.2 YPC and 2 rushing TDs.

Junior OLB Dekoda Watson, 73 tackles, 11.5 TFL, 5 sacks, and 1 INT(returned for TD) over the last 2 years.

Senior CB Tony Carter, 72 tackles, 6 INTs, 11 breakups (17 passes defenced) over the last 2 years.

Junior(RS) CB Patrick Robinson, 28 tackles 6 INTs, 6 breakups (12 passes defenced) last year.

Junior SS Myron Rolle, 144 tackles, 7 TFL, 1 sack, 1 FF, and 1 INT over the last 2 years.

I figured I'd share this list with you guys in case you happen to catch an FSU game on TV. I know a bit of you probably watch the Miami vs. Florida State game. This is my senior year at FSU so I know these players quite well. The player that will be most ready to make the jump to the pros after this year IMO is 6-4 250 lb DE Everette Brown. The guy showed alot of promise two years ago and started to really come on last year. He absolutely dominated a few games. I expect him to come up with 10+ sacks this year, not to mention alot of tackles for loss against the run as well. I also believe that he would be an excellent fit for the Texans.

Watch the defense when you watch Florida State play. Don't look to find many prospects on the offense outside of Greg Carr and Preston Parker (and maybe JUCO WR Corey Surrency)

I know he played for Austin high. He juked this LB from Clements and tore his ACL. I've been watching him play at ASU for a couple years now. He had a breakout year last year.
 
I have a good friend who dated Mike Jones for a couple years. He played QB in highschool, then switched to WR at Arizona State. She said he runs a 4.4 and is a real good character guy. Tall and lanky if i remember right. She did say he was being recruited heavily for center-field in baseball though. But he might have decided football is the right path by now.

Not sure about him... don't really have a handle on it. I'm glad Oher decided to stay but truth be told, I'm not expecting Ole Miss to push for a SEC championship spot until another few years... we just don't have the talent and/or depth.

It depends how the year goes, Hardy could have a monster year and I could see him bolting early. Also, I think it depends how the other DE's do around the country. Guys like Michael Johnson (GT), George Selvie (S. Fl.), Tyson Jackson (LSU), the Middleton guy from the Big 10? Looks like there could be some competition but DE has become one of those premier positions.

He's got a much better chance of leaving early than Oher did. fellow lineman DT Peria Jerry is a Sr. and the two make a good pair... rest of the defense isn't much to talk about. Could be good for the Texans.

there's a high end offensive tackle from South Carolina on the board....we don't need him knock on wood...just saying. He fits the scheme.

Slaton is slowly winning me over....two little guys don't know about that.

Bomar looked pretty dominating when we squeaked by East Central Oklahoma 58-14.
