Andre Davis to the Patriots

I guess when you win three Super Bowls in four years, it makes it a lot easier to keep getting players to make your team better. I think their top six receivers are now one of the best groups I've ever seen with Branch, Givens, Brown, Terrell, Davis, and Dwight.

this is really puzzling to me...why did cleveland feel they needed to trade andre davis...i mean i know they have antonio bryant and braylon edwards...but with andre davis and northcutt they could have a great spread offense...that and i'm not so sure braylon edwards will be great...i see him pulling a david terrell

another thing why was he traded to new england so fast...why not shop him around for awhile...i think this was something done under the table to help out the pats

There's been rumors about Crenell wanting to trade Davis for awhile now. Seattle was in the mix, and more recently Philly was said to make an offer for him as well. It was mentioned that Philly was willing to give a conditional 5th round pick, but the Pats bettered the offer by giving the Browns a 5th straight up with no conditions. I really don't see alot of merit in him giving Davis to the Pats soley to help his former team and HC. Having relationships with the management of the Pats might have helped speed the deal along, but Davis would have been out of Cleveland one way or another. His ticket just has Foxboro on it instead of Seattle of Philly.

I wouldn't make a good GM ,because I wouldn't trade to NE (at this point) . Why? because the rich get richer and I am Cleveland and my goal is Super Bowl ..I don't trade to a team that is the favorite and make them stronger.. I also don't trade with division rivals..

Oh well I guess that is why I am not a GM
