This is just a honeymoon season for Tom Herman right? He could lose 5 or 6 games with Texas this year and he's still going to be the big man on campus, everybody drooling all over him (hyped up head coach), with his monster contract.
And looking at the Texas Longhorns schedule this year, ouch!, it's one of the toughest in the countries. This first game they lost was supposed to be one of their easier games.
The Longhorns play the #4 ranked USC Trojans on the road in two weeks. That should be their second loss after they beat San Jose State next week.
And then they still play heavily ranked (both top 10 teams) in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in back-to-back weeks in October. To go along with games against ranked Kansas State and West Virginia.
And they may even be upset against other unranked teams. My guess, TCU, Iowa State or Texas Tech - one of them is likely to upset the mighty Texas Longhorns.
I was only kidding about Texas losing 5 or 6 games this year.
But looking at their schedule it's definitely possible. Even 7 losses.
My man Charlie Strong should be thankful he's not in this stressful job! The expectations to win at UT are ridiculous. They are not a very good football program at the moment. Not a powerhouse anyways. I think the Houston Cougars have a better team and we should be in the Big 12 Conference!
