Texans All Access is an experience held at Reliant Stadium for all Texans season ticket holders and sponsors. It will feature Texans General Manager Rick Smith and the entire 2008 Houston Texans team, as well as player autographs, appearances by the Houston Texans Cheerleaders, TORO and the Bull Pen Pep Band.

What were they thinking, what about all the out of towners?? I have always wanted to go, finally was able to get season tix this year and now it is going to be on a weeknight.

Anyhow, thanks for posting Kay, I have been very curious about when it was going to happen.
 
I guess there will be no shortage of tix on e-bay. Thursday night....lol

What.... was there a tractor pull or another goat roper convention on Friday night or somethin'?

Hey Dr2B, where did you hear this at? Did you recieve a letter from the Texans? Just curious because I cannot find anything on it, and have not recieved a letter yet. By the way hows DRob doin ? Tell him Hi and good luck on getting back soon we miss him out there.

Well, looks like they killed any chance of it being an annual thing for me. Can't wait to hear the reasoning behind putting it on a weekday evening. What's next, Wednesday afternoon (business man's special) games?
 
This makes little sense, unless they wanted to limit the amount of people going to the event. Maybe that is the thought behind it. That is definitely going to be the result.
 
I will be there, but Thursday night just blows for an All Access event.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last one, too. There's not much money to be made at this thing, IMO.

This is for season ticket holders only, right? They've made plenty of money to put it on.
 
Have the Texans decided to start being more "Fan-Unfriendly" or what?

Three days after Memorial Day, in the middle of the week?

Thanks for the heads up on this Kay...maybe w/ this much advance warning we can try to find a way to get there.

DISCLAIMER - Yes, I'm still thrilled we still get to HAVE such events, but that doesn't make the time slot & day scheduled for this any LESS dumb.

The way we see it, you are right.

But, to the Texans, it probably cost them for the actual event, just due to hiring security, yellow shirts, and people to work concessions. The event itself probably doesn't make much, if any, profit.
 
I will have to take a day off of work just to go unless my wife doesn't want to go and that's if I can figure out what to do with the kids. Two days off if I drive in and we stay with my parents, that is if school is out. Putting this on a weeknight make the logistics a nightmare since I am 3 hours away.
 
I think that it might be shaping into a more non-family friendly event. Not saying it is good or bad- but we need stuff for the grown ups too...without feeling bad. I am sure there will be a lot of drinking going on since it is late at night and after work hours....

I think this change will be interesting and hopes that it will be less crowded- due to the whole work/school night thing.

I will be there and if someone chooses not to attend or use their tickets- I have friends that would like to attend. :fans:
 
Well talked it over with the wife, looks like I will take 1 1/2 days off from work, and pull my 4th grader out of school on Friday so that we can make this event. And just make a weekend out of it with my parents who live in Anahuac, it will be my second trip in about a month span since I am planning to make the draft party too. The lengths I go to to support my team....:fans:
 
I am beyond heated right now:bat: ....I will not be able to attend All Access this year....unless a miracle from God granted me wings....On the positive side, I have been granted a fellowship at a university in Ohio, but it starts the Tuesday after Memorial Day and there is no way that I can fly here for two hours and fly back before work time starts.....

Oh well...but I will be here for training camp----God willing....Also depending on where I get a job as a college professor- would be the amount of home games that I will be able to attend...Hopefully I will be near Texas!

Anyhow this is the life of an adult, I guess!
