Alabama vs. Kansas State (Dec 31, 12pm EST)—Bryce & Will Play Again Before The Draft

Oh my... Burton wide open for an easy long TD strike and Young underthrows him badly for a miss. Non-ideal arm strength on display there... Then he makes the intermediate mid-range throw.

Six minutes before half, Young started with three poor passes but since has stepped up inside the pocket to make throws with bodies around him and complete a deep pass similar to one he missed earlier.

Unless I missed something, Will Anderson has been very quiet and contained.

Edit, Anderson fell down in coverage on a 4th down play which could (maybe should) have resulted in a TD.

After the 1st series I didn't see him for a while, and the announcers have remarked more than once about his little time on field and not much productivity when on the field. He just fell down as you know but bama was lucky the pass was not close to the receiver.

Wow just wow. Bryce young to Burton. Then another good play. Then Bryce young to Burton for a torch down. Yes torch down.

Hard to deny, Young just has it. The kid throws into anticipated windows. Those “smaller windows” we always say guys struggle with at the next level. If you watch his feet he just naturally seems to feel traffic and slides effortlessly to avoid contact. I’m impressed. His size still worries me but I’m impressed

He certainly has not been a game wrecker this year. I really would hate to go that way again to only end up with an above average occasional difference maker

Second or third time I've seen anderson play and once again I do not get it ?

Announcers fawning over the last deep TD throw. But of the defender locates the ball, that could be intercepted in the NFL. Very hard to evaluate Young because he has all day throwing the ball after some early pressure. He won't have that kind of time in the pros. That said, that deep pass to Burton to end the 1st half drive was really great.

I see what the talking heads see. Even when Young sees quick pressure he makes the right decision by either eating it or getting rid of it quickly. He doesn’t panic and make bad decisions. Cliche alert: He’s really good at picking his spots and letting the game come to him. See upthread, he can hit tight windows and is accurate. I’m still concerned about size. Could he still gain a few pounds at 21 years? Probably. He’s listed at 194 everywhere I’ve seen, 205 probably makes him more durable. Still a concern for me but what do I know.

I’m not feeling the buzz expected over Bryce Young to be honest. Same time don’t trust Caserio to maneuver and work Draft Board……. Stick & pick BPA! Chicago could slot in w/#1 pick and take Anderson. Texans selecting 2nd do you take Young? Trade down and miss on few or more blue chip studs, then an even more overrated QB like Will Levis?

Texaning :toropalm:

Welcome to Houston Mr. Young. This town is yours if you come here and win……..and don’t get into questionable situations with massage therapists….

Did you not like how Caserio maneuvered around to get Metchie/Harris last yr? As far as that goes, even Green, although I would've stayed put and drafted Davis.

No I did not, both coming off injury. They refuse to consider medical red flags from top on down. That alone is misappropriating resources worthy of discharge.

That's the Texans medical staff that advised Caserio that the injuries weren't a big deal. The Stingley pick bothers me because CnD seems to know more about most likely the final results of these injuries than the Texans medical staff does and he doesn't have the MRI's/ medical info that the Texans medical staff has. This has been a long time on going theme that started with Boselli and has continued for 2 decades to Stingley. The Green injury and Metchie getting cancer was just plain and simple case of bad luck.
